Did the Mags have their TOOOOOON tops confiscated at the turnstiles yesterday?
Hardly saw any in their section.

BTW, was sat next to an off duty copper, from Morpeth, who says the horse clouter is a 'known idiot' with previous.

    Just saying like ........

I certainly wouldn't have backed him - I watched him before the game and at half time and he was practicing without a keeper and couldn't hit a barn door!! Awesome finish when it mattered though.

Oh - and there was a significant amount between the teams - not "football" wise but in passion and determination - we had it - you didn't!

    <laugh>

I'm having an ironic laugh at Tiote, and Newcastle, after the winning goal.

Newcastle's players and manager whinged at the officials continually yesterday right from the kick off.
Cabaye and Tiote dive & cheat but are always running to the referee moaning about the opposition.

So, how funny it was, that Tiote was whinging to the ref when Colback ran away with ball for the winner <laugh>

Cheats, like Tiote, do sometimes prosper but not yesterday.

Personally thought a draw would of been about right, neither team were clinical with the final ball however Sunderland's 'passion' won it in the end

Wasnt shocked by the constant whinging to the ref from Alienhead or Cabaye (a man who could commit rape on a pitch and not get booked), whilst Probert had a fairly poor game ive never really rated him as a ref anyway

Thought in terms of defense we looked fairly solid with a few slip ups, Dossena was a pleasant surprise

Personally thought Johnson had one of his better games for us, despite possibly being able to stop Debuchy's goal he had some good crosses and played well

Colback was motm to me, played out of his skin. Constant running to attack or defend, glad he was finally given his cm chance. Catts as sturdy as ever

Fletcher was fantastic again, setting us off with an early lead, linking up player etc. Hope he stays fit for the season!

Altidore was given motm by sky, few people have praised him...apart from a couple of passes and setting up Borini (not sure how much he knew about it) i didnt think he did much, few times he could of closed down or challenged the ball and didnt

Larsson - only good thing i can say was he was determined...apart from that seemed to not have a clue on his position throughout the game, left Bardsley very exposed and ofc whinged to the ref a lot

    Ratings:

    Westy - 6 Krul - 6
    Bardo - 7 Debuchy - 6
    Cuellar - 6 Williamson - 5
    O'Shea - 7 Dummet - 5
    Dossena - 7 Santon - 7
    Larsson - 4/5 Tiote - 7
    Catts - 7 Cabaye - 5
    Colback - 8/9 Sissoko - 4
    Johnson - 7 Gouffran - 4
    Altidore - 5/6 Remy - 4
    Fletcher - 8 Ben Halfer - 4

For being relatively new, their back 4 could of been far worse, Tiote and Santon had good games but cant actually recalk Sissoko/Gouffran/Remy touching the ball, Ben Halfer was his usual greedy self and didnt realky do too much

It's ironic that the Mags got every decision in their favour all afternoon, and Pardew still has the nerve to moan about the ref..<laugh>

Gradually being talked about by Mags as some kind of 'fluke' goal out of nowhere <laugh>

If it was Cabaye it would be 'a wonder goal'.

It was also, apparently, our only 'half chance' of the 2nd half despite various chances like the shot Krul grabbed at the 2nd chance, before it squirmed over the line, Altidore going through and Fletcher's free kick on the edge of the box.

Their only chance, off the top of my head, was off the top of O'Shea's head ...............

BTW, do any of the older lads, on here, remember the last time Newcastle actually won a derby?

In the next few years they'll be wheeling out 'Shola the Mackem Slayer' like the Tories used to do with Thatcher.

Felt a bit sorry for him when the Mags, above us, groaned when he creaked out onto the pitch.
