If the Will Grigg situation comes through I reckon you'll go up comfortably. A player like him would have had you winning easily today and i suspect you'd already have 5-10 more points in the bag.

For all the frustrations of the draw you are a massive chasm of 1 point off automatic promotion places with a game in hand. If Maja goes you need a replacement as I'm not convinced your other options up front are consistent enough. Presumably McGuire misses a game or two?

What was that half time entertainment all about btw, it was funny as **** but probably not the best idea unless people dying of heart attacks is what they're looking for. That face plant at the end :emoticon-0136-giggl

I knew they would blow again at half time we are appalling up front. It is strange that back in the past we sign a defender first before a striker and yet again it still happens will they ever learn ? I bet Ross does not sign a striker end of, and talking of the half time entertainment was that Danny graham who tripped ower 2 yards out and missed hehe. Our goalie man of the match he saved us AGAIN.

Wyke looked rusty as hell and missed what I would call a sitter (rebound off the bar) seemed to completely misjudge the flight of the ball. Playing with no confidence and he’s not a “up on my own” forward imo. Needs a striker with him. Have to say mind, Wyke was fouled more times than their cf (the ne who got sent off) but he got nothing from the ref. They seemed to get everything every time anyone fell over. Sad thing is it was the worst ref performance I’ve seen this season and it was a professional premier league ref!

Luke is awesome. Not onl in ability but his pure love of playing for us!

Agree with most of your points MCB but I'm sorry Wyke is a big lad and should be able to handle himself. He's soft as sh*te.Thought whenI saw the team announced we would only get 1 goal. Kimpi was better in 10 mins than Wyke.

As for Probert well I think he's gambling days are still happening. Must have bet on a penna and 2 sendings off yesterday.

Maybe a strange way of looking at things but has he done us a favour sending off their big lad Danny Hylton? He caused us some bother yesterday. Will they be as effective without him. Time will tell I suppose.

Aye the referee was awful, simply awful. They spent the whole match diving and getting free kicks, Wyke was constantly fouled and got nothing. Soft penalty too, dunno if Maguire deserved a red but their player did I could see his arm lash out across our lads face so at least he got that right.

It was amusing but I assume the proper health and safety checks are in place <whistle>

Terrible refereeing, seems we are appealing Maguires red card.

Listening to Gary Bennett on radio newcastle he was on about the ref. He said somthing along the lines of he's supposed to be a premier league ref well maybe on xbox or a games console lol

Not disagreeing about Wyke but he was no bigger than their centre forward who did exactly the same but got free kicks for it. It was literally one rule for him and one for us. I agree kimpioka was better. It annoys me though when people say a fouled forward should do better though. If it’s a foul at one end surely it has to be a foul at the other for the same challenge

I'm not convinced that was handball

That tweet seems to be implicating a foul was given not handball. But they had thrown themselves to the ground for the hour before that and got everything.

My guess is it must’ve been classed a foul. Handball in that situation would have to be deemed intentional and stopping a goal bound shot. Flanagan was already on a yellow

According to JR the ref said he gave it for handball.

He gave it for handball? There was no handball there, possibly a foul by Flanagan but I don't see any handball. Probert had a stone cold nightmare of a performance not that he'll give a ****, he'll be strutting around in his next game like he isn't an embarrassment to his profession.

This is where referees should be made to answer questions publicly. If he gives it for handball, it has to be the ntentional. If it’s intentional then the player has to be sent off. Sounds to me like he knows he’s ****ed it up completely but doesn’t give a flying ****. He’s the worst ref I’ve seen this season in our division and there’s been some truly appalling ones

I agree he was on another level of incompetence compared to the worst refs we've had. Look at when the Luton lads clashed heads, according to the rules they both have to go off but did they? No. I think he tried to send them off but they didn't listen.

No authority and bad decision making.

Well if we are all unsure weather it be handball or foul
How can the referee decide either
I think he just guessed it was one or the other

In future VAR will sort it out and condemn refs like this to history. The sooner the better.
