Still work to do with this squad for JR, but still all to play for, thanks to another terrific show from McGlaughlin it could have been a lot worse.

    Player Ratings
Jon McLaughlin, 8/10: Made three blinding first half saves to keep Luton out of the game - he’s a proper game-changer.
Reece James, 7/10: Luton’s diamond meant he had the freedom to roam forwards whenever he wanted to. Offered a good option for us offensively.
Jack Baldwin, 7/10: Some great tackling and passing out from the back.
Tom Flanagan, 7/10: Aerially dominant and did well up against Hylton. Not sure on the penalty decision, will have to see it back.
Luke O’Nien, 8/10: Just superb again. Won practically every tackle he went for, was great going forward and worked his backside off.
Max Power, 7/10: Much more like his old self today. He and McGeouch dominated the middle.
Dylan McGeouch, 8/10: Outstanding. He’s been a real breath of fresh air since coming back into the side.
Aiden McGeady, 7/10: As always he was a threat to their full backs and some of his deliveries into the area were tremendous.
Chris Maguire, 6/10: Fabulous goal in the first half but got himself sent off - he’ll be a miss.
Charlie Wyke, 6/10: Can tell he’s getting better with each game. With no Maja he was our outlet, and it really gave us a different dimension. Not good enough in front of goal though.
Lynden Gooch, 7/10: Worked hard. Didn’t always come off for him but Justin at left back still struggled to defend against him.
(SUB) Benji Kimpioka, 6/10: Brought on for his unpredictability.
(SUB) Bryan Oviedo, 6/10: Came on late in the game as we looked for a winner.

Man of the Match: Dylan McGeouch

The referee the worst ever at a football match as well as cheats Luton, not even average we were **** again in the 2nd half up front, lobbing balls into the penalty area when none of our players know how to head it, pathetic. Never in a million years a penalty either, And what about our sending off ?. These teams con the refs and get away with it, it needs looking into. No way Luton will go up with that team b rovers and Shrewsbury have better players than them, we need a striker and where was Maja ?

Thanks again RTB, penalty looks a soft one, but the player Hylton? is a hand full, and knew what he was doing, ref was poor to-day. Again it was a game there for the taking, very much like at Pompey we keep making our own problems, still when did we do it the easy way. Mick Harford has never done us any favours, and it will be all the sweeter when we do move above Luton, its just a matter of time. Onwards and upwards.

Jesus I must’ve been at a different game. Thought McGeouch was awful!! I would’ve given him 3/10 at most

Been at work all day and between 5Live and my phone app it appears that the penalty and afterwards was a case of the Ref having lost the plot or the players were guilty of being overhyped.
Another two points dropped like at Charlton, a dodgy penalty and an og, when we get in front we need that second goal to put these games to bed.
We will miss McGuire as he's done well lately, hope Maja was ill and we haven't seen the last of him.
Were relying on Watmore and Wyke who have been injured long term to replace Maja's goals unless we have another striker lined up ie Grigg.
But a point gained on the leaders so every cloud etc.....

****ing dreadful Marcus. I'd have the black lad with the orange boots they had in midfield mind looks exactly what we need. Mobile, strong and good on the ball. All of which McGeough is not!

I beg to differ. Mcgeouch was decent and basically controlled the mid imo. Funny how we all see different things

I thought McGeough was good first half and mediocre in the second. Still the best I've seen him play though.

It was never going to be a walk in the park in this league.
we've had a lot of upheaval and are playing catch up to all the clubs currently in the top six squad wise, we have to keep going and grind them down and as fans KTF and see the lads over the line in May.

I thought he was garbage throughout! Passing was poor and easily knocked off the ball. Their first 2 chances were from him dallying in midfield iirc. Amazing how differently we see things.

I've been waiting for him to settle, since about August, and I lost patience today . . . . he's absolutely useless :emoticon-0108-speec
Why can't Osoro tell him about grass being greener on somebody else's bench, where he belongs :emoticon-0112-wonde

Him apparently being great in Jockland tells me all about the standard up there, unfortunately :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Yeah he got caught in possession a few times that he shouldn't have. I think Power and O'Nien may be our best CM pairing when Matthews is back, I thought Luke played well today and he's getting better and better.

What did you think of Wyke, I thought he had a bit of a mare. Supposedly good in the air but Kimpioka won more headers in the fifteen minutes he was on. He missed a sitter too. I'll let him off to an extent because he's rusty but I think we really need that CF signed whether Maja goes or not.
