Great thread as always. Great reading. I want to say it is superb to have Conor McLaughlin back. I think he bas been brilliant this season. He is such an understated defender but he gets the job done time and again. He makes us a better side down the right hand side. Him, Sanderson and O'Nien are a solid back 3. As to the game we just seem to keep getting it done. We are so hard to play against now. We have options going forward and we are a superb at getting it back. Lincoln were good in the cup game I thought and in possession they move it well. We need to be professional and give them no encouragement and our game will be good enough I think. Big effort then a week to recover.
Someone mentioned that Appleton appears to have resigned himself to defeat, I actually picked up negative vibes from him last week when he was on sky, anyhoo, just had a quick scan of Lincoln forums, it also appears that the Lincoln supporters have already accepted defeat, even before a ball is kicked.
That'll make the win easier. If it's in the team's heads before kick off, all we need to do is apply some decent pressure and then they'll buckle
There's a right battle going on for the playoff positions, probably go right to the wire, hopefully we'll all be pissed by then.
TBF he's tried everything else and failed ... ... and that was with his better players before they were injured. I guarantee we'll be fired up, balls to them.
These intro videos make me cringe. "OK Danny, want you to look down, the slowly look up ad give us your mean stare" Can you imagine Cloughy putting up with that?
It’s all about the 3 points. Would love to see a cracking team performance but I’m not really bothered about that. It’s just about scrapping and getting the points. A close home win for me.
Good podcast tbh. Chris Brown is one of the hosts. Latest one is a Rowan Vine 2 parter. He is a bit of a character mind. Worth a listen!
