    Are you on your rags?
Thats the difference between me and you I don't hold grudges, I can have arguments with someone in one thread and discussions with the same person in another.
This is a football forum, and you are taking it far too seriously.

You said to me "Who the **** was talking to you like?"
Are people only allowed to comment on your opinion with your permission?

    You find my avatar intimidating?
It's a GIF that I liked the look of as a change to the spinning globe I usually use.
And that makes me 14! hahahaha
I couldn't give two monkeys if you're nice to me or not.
    This isn't real life.
You're coming across like a butt hurt little girl having a tantrum.

Everyone's bashing our second string... I don't get it. To me (and this is very worrying) they didn't look all that much different to our first team. For weeks now we have kept the ball well but had absolutely zero ideas when we get to the final third. Look at that Man U game. One shot on target in 120 minutes, and it was a long range hit-n-hope effort. The ONLY reason we scored is because De Gea made probably the worst goalkeeping blunder of the season. Otherwise, we could have played another 120 mins and never looked like scoring imo.

I think most teams so called second strings are all about the same apart from the big four or five, with these being played all at once is not a good yard stick ,in all probability when introduced individually to the team a better opinion could be made i think

The difference is we were playing a team nearly 90 places below us.
I do agree that there is nowhere near enough quality being hit into the box.

I was looking at the stats and Kidderminster won 60% of the aerial battles.
Can our lot not jump? :p

I don't see the problem lads you won the game. I follow lower league football week in, week out and i can never but help think, that the teams in the top tier, think money buys them success. Some of those players in non league Kiddi are ex L1 players (hence why i followed the game today) why should they not be able to put up a fight against your second string team (your words not mine). Posh fell by the wayside against them and if it had not been for Gowling's error you could have been replaying back at Kiddi. I'm not being rude against you guys, just saying don't underestimate the players and teams in lower league. Since the introduction of SKY and the 1992 virus, there seems to be some misconception that financial excess equal's glory, it dosen't...just ask Man U that in the current climate. Obviously money is always going to buy the best on that same week in, week out basis but the resilience on a one off occasion of the FA Cup is going to stand good stead for non league opposition. Well done and good luck in the next round.

Haven't seen anyone underestimating lower leagues.
    But!
Even if it is our second string playing, they should be more than capable of outplaying them.
We kept the ball easily in our half and midfield and failed miserably the final third.
You may not think money makes a difference, but I do, our players earn a fortune and aren't earning it.
Financial excess doesn't equal glory and Man U are proof of it?
They are the reigning Premier League Champions, who realise they are short of quality and have just spent 37 million on Mata, and if accounts are right they are going to be buying big again.
I will have to let Chelsea and Man City know that their financial excess that has brought them the league championship isn't working. :p Hahaha

I take your point but 37m on a player is just obscene. I can remember when Southampton bought Paulo Gazza from us for an estimated fee of 1.5m...great for my club but plain stupidity of the modern game. And i would still have preferred to have kept him. We got Gazza only about 12 months before for absolutely nothing...an example of the financial excess that i mean! Hessy went abroad and found the Argentine playing somewhere in Spain and persuaded him to come over here and someone even had to give him a roof over his head, he couldn't afford it. Football's gone mad and the fans expectation's with it.

I'm not denying the money is obscene.
But if you want to play with the big boys you have to pay the money.
I would be over the moon if they brought in a cap on the money.
Personally I don't understand why Chelsea are letting Mata go, I think he is a great little player.
So does Wenger going by his usual whinging, hahaha.

My expectations haven't changed since I watched Sunderland in the old 3rd division.
I want the players who pull on my teams shirt, to show pride in wearing it and earn their wages, no matter how much the wage is.

Would I talk to you like this if I was intimidated? Doubtful some how. I too can have a disagreement on one thread and a conversation on another when it's over football, not when they're being a moody, sarcastic, dummy spiting dickhead, crying on about his little prediction game 'injustice'.

Bri thats not fair, just because you have different opinions to other people please dont fire hurtful words out . We are all Sunderland supporters and want the best for the club but with differing opinions. if a player does not perform for over 6 months, don't try and defend him, i wanted a few player to stay who i though were better for the club, like Fraizer who was 10 times better than Josey, let it go hes ****, we move onwards and up

Na mate, why is it ok for him to be rude and ignorant like? This is nowt to do with football. He's been a right prick on another thread and expects me to be fine with him on another while conflict is still ongoing.

I came back for the semi-final but decided to stay on for Stoke.
I was up yesterday for what I knew would be a 'throwaway' match.
Anyone who expected any different is idealistic.

Poyet tried to do just enough to justify people's ten quid without risking injuries/fatigue to key players.
We had 2 debutants parachute onto the pitch from Argentina, players who will be sold in this window or the next and some who were trying way too hard to impress with flicks & tricks.

The whole thing was messy and Kidderminster had a game plan simply to frustrate us, by the look of some on here it worked. I thought Kidderminster were a totally rotten team tbh. Where was the joy, spirit or adventure in that performance? I felt sorry for their supporters & even the players tbh.

Their manager, Andy Thorn, came with a mean spirited game plan that killed the game. He seemed more interested in puffing up his own credentials than giving the club a great day out and give it a real go. His attitude stunk imo.
His keeper was wasting time for the entire 2nd half when they were losing.

I didn't expect much from Sunderland but walked back to the pub quite happy thinking 'when's the draw' and 'right, back to business'.

The game/team on Wednesday will be way different to yesterday.
I don't care who plays tbh.
I trust in the manager, who's done a truly incredible job.

Whoever steps out against Stoke, and for the rest of the season, will be cheered to the rafters.

THEN we can address the problems we all know exist.

Never saw the match but it was always going to be an anti-climax after Wednesdays fantastic effort. We won, we're in the hat for the next round, we had new players introduced into the team who will now have had a better feel for their surroundings and team mates, we move onto this Wednesday against Stoke and looking forward to a different display and 3 valuable points.

Finally, the voice of reason......yesterday was about managing expectations. I expected to get through and nothing more. As for players, it simply reinforces who is up for it, and who is not......at least the new fellas looked good. Gus and Ellis can hopefully sort that out in due course, but I'm not expecting it to be fixed by the end of this month, even though a new AM and striker would help.

Two big league games coming up, and hoping for some good results and team performances.

Great post. I was disappointed like most. Not so much the score, or the performances, more the lack of quality in our depth. Shame it drove some to the point of ,yet again, abusing some of our players.

    Hahaha unfuckingbelievable.
Please point me to where I'm being a crying, sarcastic dummy spitting dickhead. <ok>

I'm being a right prick on another thread by responding in kind to you?
After I asked a very valid question, that you seemed to take as a personal attack.

    Hahahaha unfuckingbelievable.
