Yes and the midfield are paid to provide the opportunities too. My point is neither has done either. But lets focus on one but not the other eh?
So, apart from the obvious in the score-line, I can assume we didn't cover ourselves in glory! This is the reality that Ellis needs to deal with, not the result on Wednesday night. And he's got just 6 days to sort it out. Like I said on another string, we still need some quality signings to pull us away from the bottom 3.
Woeful. Can't believe Gus didn't make subs earlier. Most of the players on that pitch showed just how bad they are even against a conference side. Did Giac actually pass to one of our players? Larsson and Altidore once again trying to outdo each other in ****ness. Altidore is the only striker I have seen to stand still when the balls coming toward him and allow the defender to move and take the ball. He gets more and more embarrassing every time I see him, those calling for him to get a start and a full 90 minutes got their wish. And he gave you 90 minutes of ****. Liverpool didn't play very well earlier yet Suarez was running his socks off trying to make himself available and chasing wayward passes.
The job's not done Stu. We just beat a conference team. We can't rest on our laurels from 3 days ago. There's a real issue of quality in the squad, and we've just 6 days to sort it out otherwise it's going to be a real tough 3 months to the end of the season.
I think most teams so called second strings are all about the same apart from the big four or five, with these being played all at once is not a good yard stick ,in all probability when introduced individually to the team a better opinion could be made i think
Unless we're going to lose our best starting 11 to injury then I don't think we need to go daft. An AM, DM and a striker with pace then I'm happy.
Understand your thoughts bri but mavrias played a perfect through ball fir him yo run On to. He failed. He should never have given the defender a chance to make that tackle but he looked like a cart horse. When he gets the ball he looks incapable of scoring or beating a man. Even against Kidderminster he looked incapable. Never wanted the ball today. Never showed fir it. Just opinions mate but he will never make a footballer in mine
i was talking of the cup tie being won ,sure work has to be done thats for sure, the team or rather the club is lacking in personel of a certain quality without a doubt
Best not to over-react after the lord mayors show on wednesday. Was always going to be a drab affair, but at least we are through. I'm sure Gus and Ellis know what's needed.
Mate I agree. My point is at full time your comment was to single one player out and nobody else. It's like comparing stool samples and picking on just one for being ****.
Today was always gonna be ****e, we were always gonna win, it was always gonna be untidy. Job done, on we go to Stoke. Simple.
