I said last night someone needed a yellow in the build up to their first goal (swipe and a miss by Clarke BTW went down as an assist)... but surely Seri has to handle the ball, grab it, make the referee make a decision which would have been a) free kick to us b) handball free kick to them cP) deliberate hand ball and booking...
I know what you're saying about how Rotherham set up but there was far less urgency to try and get forward against Rotherham. There were times when Jones would just stand still with the ball at his feet panicking. Even when Sunderland twigged that we are terrible with the ball at the back and they put pressure on by pressing we played faster and went more direct. The same space was there against Rotherham but for whatever reason we chose not to play into it with the urgency of yesterday. Monday will be interesting. There is nothing to play for, it's time to take the shackles off and play like Sunderland did at home.
Last night really shows we need upgrades on both fullbacks, with this setup the fullbacks are gonna be on the ball so much more and need to be able to carry it forward. It was frustrating seeing the acres of space that Coyle had but just wasn’t able to capitalise on it.
Our back up right back came up against one of the best wingers in the league. Coyle always struggles against that type of winger so it's nothing new

Yes Hudds was slow, but that wasn’t his game, I’m talking about passing the ball, the first stint with us was obviously much better than his second cameo, but he still passed better than Seri, which was my original point when I read people saying Seri is superior in passing to Hudds.
Well I would agree with that but he seems to have made somewhat of an amends this morning with a decent piece about Tufan and Traore in which as well as praising Tufan he had good things to say about Traore which belied his rating of 6 that he had given him earlier. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sunderland-4-4-hull-city-8334707 He did indicate that he did not have a great view so maybe that was part of the problem. And for me who has not watched a in person a game since the 70's its easy to forget how difficult it is to follow and judge passages of play when you are watching in a stadium compared to watching on a big screen TV. But to give Baz his due he is normally thereabouts with his ratings, maybe it was just a bad day at the office as City seem to have on occasion. As an aside I agree with his assessment of Tufan (we seem to be a different team when he plays) and similarly with that of Traore his ability to thread passes through that lead to clear cut chances is non pareil.
You get a lot better idea of the play in the stadium where you can see all of the pitch and what players are doing away from the ball whereas watching on a screen the camera is following where the ball is and you see less of the pitch.

Really don't see how Greaves has appreciated. Macca proved to be a better CB and once again last night I thought Greaves really struggled at LB. Elder improved us down that flank when he came on. I do like Greaves but would be happy to see him leave for a decent fee in the summer.
