    Sod it.

Beaten by the better team 2nd half, no doubt about it. We still have a ways to go.

Anelka was the key player for chelsea 2nd half, he ran the game for them.

Shame if we paly like we did in the first half we will make mince meat out of the lesser sides. Just need to hold the ball better - to be fair we are still missing key players. When Sess and Muntari bed in it will be a different story

bit gutting to lose but still a good display

if we play like that against Stoke we should win.

and Bosingwa was taking the p1$$. over a minute for a substitution.

Ah well, it was a good game, they deserved the win, but we played well as well. Good performance, but hats off to Chelsea.

That just about sums it up, Jersey. No complaints.

Thanks to those who provided updates - much appreciated. Reality check, maybe, but look at their squad. Brucey was really down to the bare bones again. Sooner we're back to full strength the better.

dont think theres any reality check we ran the defending resurgent champions very close they really had to perform to beat us. our midfield was bossed but there was no cattermole or muntari or anybody capable of playing that kind of role. credit to malbranque he really did have a good go. flashes of quality from sessegnon, i think him and gyan can link up something special. this season has been built on our responses to bad results, we havent had a bad run and i dont see one coming, stoke don't stand a chance.

thought steed played really well tonight. hats off to chelsea, they looked bloody good going forward and could've had 5 or 6 - if i were a liverpool fan, i'd be worried! as said above, if we play like that against stoke we'll not have a problem

Well I'm back, couple of neighbours came over as their BT internet died. :)

Best team won, no shame on Sunderland.

We were screaming for the defenders to pile out from corners mind, would have stopped the third.
First half we were matching them, second half our midfield went missing again.
Hendo and Richardson are too lighwieght in there.
Not going to slang anyone off, but a quick slap on the back of the legs for Elmo silly pelanty to give away, may just of got away with it if he had headed the ball mind.

Why the hell did they start sitting back second half, inviting them on?
All the chances Chelsea had I feared the worst.
Once again Gordon was immense, not sure about the goal he is being blamed for, need to see replays. Merson on SSN reckons Gordon's fault if so he more than made up for it.

I never slag off any Sunderland player but tonight Henderson was utter ****e and given a master class in Midfield by the oldest man on the pitch, Steed. You cannot carry a player at this level and tonight we carried Henderson. Frank Lampard has never had so much room to operate in, he must have thought it was his birthday.
