No need to get nasty son...That is football i'm afraid.....Any slip up with form will be pounced upon.
Nasty? He told you to sod off. Nasty would’ve been “go f*** yourself you utter ****” But he kept it quite civil. What we don’t need is some uppity “I’m going to tell you what you all know” Hence the polite sod off
Looked more than a half chance where I was sat. I’m not scapegoating him at all. There were far more reasons. But I wonder what that Taylor lad for them would’ve done? He’d have gone fir goal. It didn’t look a difficult header but I’m pointing more at the fact that this striker seems to be bereft of the confidence to try to score. It made no sense You want scapegoats... Honeyman... what’s the point Cattermole... poor today Morgan.... poor sub imo Forwards... felt for Wyke as he did ok back to goal ball to feet Grigg... mentioned above but he offered little again Adding the Referee even though he didn’t impact on the outcome .... allowed every push, pull, tug, kick on our players but seemed to give every free kick fir every time they fell over (not that it mattered as every free kick we had we wasted)
Ross carry’s the can, set up wrong again, he sucks for me and many more. Get rid now or he’ll go October .
Give him the pre season to reorganise what we have now rather than the utter mess he inherited at the beginning of this season. If he fails then, it'll be time to think about changing.
Next season has already "started." You would hope potential targets have already been identified, their agents courted, the selling club contacted etc. The preparation is all important. The hope is you get three or four players not only take you out of this división, but are capable of taking the club to the PL. If Southampton can do it, Sunderland can. Good luck to you. Now that you have the knowledge of this división, I think you will do much better next. For Ross it has been an enormous learning curve.
Losing a Wems twice in a season is horrendous. Although we missed promotion, our first season in L1 felt like a success.
We had no cutting edge today and that's looked the case most of the time ever since Maja left. Not Ross's fault. He can only work with what he's got. Charlie Wyke works hard but he rarely looks a threat and no one gets in around him. That said, thought taking Maguire off was a mistake. Should have been Grigg for Wyke and McGeady for Honeyman.
I thought the Maguire thing must’ve been injury as he looked out most threatening player. McGeady did nothing but put us under pressure after he came on. Trying too hard?
I'm not going to bullshit that I was rooting for you today because I wasn't. However, if I were you I would put your money on early for automatic promotion next season. I genuinely think your club will learn a lot from this season and won't make the same mistake again. Possible Champions in the making and that will definitely piss Pompey off. Good luck anyway.
I thought that of McGeady too and can't for the life of me think what Honeymans role in the team was supposed to be today???
Struggled with Honeyman fir big karts of the last 10 games. I’ve seen his work rate and occasionally pops up with a goal or assist but, when he doesn’t, you might as well play my son. He’s fit as a lop and can run and run!!
Honeyman was w@nk , too small too slow, Sunday League player . Anyone who rates him should stop watching football
On the plus side lads, having a second year in League one did us the world of good and undoubtedly helped us in achieving promotion straight from the Championship next season.
Yeah, injury or not being 100% seems most likely. I thought McGeady clearly wanted to make something happen. Probably was trying too hard.
He's too small to be a Sunday League player!! He'd get kicked all over! He looked effective when we had Maja in the team but since he's gone and the way that's changed how we play he's looked ****.
We were on minus 10 to begin with so that was a hándicap, and the side played as if they could never make up the déficit. It was a good season though, and within the club there developed the belief that promotion would be achieved. At the time I had football conversations with a Saints fan in Fareham and he was constantly saying the Saints in the second season at that level, were playing a brand of football much higher than was expected. Now let´s get back to Sunderland. It might be prudent to think that 1-0 victories are often the best récipe for success at the business end of the season. Ask Manchester City.
Another manager would have done better in Jan transfer market and changed the team. I am right though arent i ? another owner who cannot get it right and in a division won by a league 2 team from last season, mid table finish next season, what happened to this team from last December i do not know.
