If that was the case we'd never have been promoted. The reality is that we can go top on Saturday and still have a game in hand. We've lost one home game, we may not lose another all season.
Promotion days are a distant memory mate. I just feel deflated as per from supporting this Jekyll and Hyde club
Charlton were one of the better teams we have faced , probably regarded it as a free hit and they went for it . We weren’t as cohesive as we have been with a lot of players below par , we looked unbalanced and we are missing Elliott Embleton who is the glue in the middle of the park . Luke O’Nien has looked out of sorts in recent games whether his shoulder injury is concerning him - who knows , but why why why is he on free kicks when we have better deadball options . Now for my favourite topic - who was the clown of a referee who should have booked one of their players within two seconds and appeared way way out of his depth with no control of the game , their dubious tactics , and time wasting , if I’m not mistaken was he not the referee who was banned for Six Months for head butting an Ipswich player ? Yet he ignored an assault on Tom Flanagan in the first half of a headbutt ,hopefully video evidence will highlight the deficiencies in his level of performance with retrospective action taken by the governing bodies . Needless to say I am sick of talking about referees rather than football but we are in league three with league three referees but Christ they should be better than what we seem to get .
In a sea of **** refs this guy still managed to stand out. There were so many decisions he got wrong today and surprise surprise nearly all of them went against us.
You can see these refs desperately trying to prove they won't be influenced by the 'big boys' ... ... to the point whereby they go ridiculously too far the other way. They way this one marched over to book Johnson was beyond embarrassing, his eyes lit up as he presented the card.
Everything he did was like amateur dramatics. Massive tosser. I wasn't surprised when he overruled the linesman to award the goal. He probably didn't have a clue what actually happened.
Agree completely with this. Charltonwerent, imo, “good”, they were just effective. Took one of their 2 clear chances of the game. We had 3 in the first half and any of those go in we probably win that be 3 or 4.
As a serial ref complainer (as you all undoubtedly know), I haven’t said much. Main reason is that everyone else has pretty much said it. I don’t blame the ref for our defeat. Although, if the head butt on Flanagan was an actual head butt and intentional, then I do blame him for us losing. He is possibly the worst I’ve ever seen. The intention were made clear at the start. 4 second in, clatter O’nien. Worst challenge of the game (notwithstanding the head butt) but, as it was 4 seconds in, no card shown!
the reality is we were top once and that is it we will never get back there, these bottle it every time the refs are ****e but we have to put up with that, Kryil etc will be gone in a year and we will be back to square one, when the frig will this end ? did not bring enough players in in the summer, we have not improved from that play off semi, selling Wyke was as bad as the Maja affair, get Grabban in etc or we are finished. And here is thee biggest question where are our black players ?
FFS, 1 defeat at home and you've written us off. I suggest some form of illicit substance to try and at least give you a possibilty of havimg a positive thought.
What the absolute ****? So not only will our owner abandon his investment because of one defeat, but we’re also racist? Can I have a pint of what you’re drinking please!
3 defeats actually, Boring bastard eh ? we know we are ****ed man this is March onwards all over again, this bloke will not get us up he has no anger but blaming refs etc, put the shutters up and we don't have a clue, where is big Sam when we need him. Every black player has took the piss out of our defence like yesterday, they know what to do and in defence running the show i have a few beers like but, give me Jemaine defoe over any of our players any day.
The family I was at the wedding with were Luton, as honest as hat, wish they could have done them a favour too
