Glad I did not renew now ! launching balls to no player, too slow, the defence a shambles thank Short for this, mid table if best. Worst home defeat as well against an average team.

Can we have Kone killed? Everything I hate about football that oxygen thief. Just a **** who's had his head turned and now is stroppily carrying out the absolute minimum requirements of his contract until he gets his way. ****ing rat!

What I want to know is where is this competitive budget we were promised by that jock **** Bain? And before any of this "we'll sign players at the end of the window" **** starts, that is not being competitive. That is picking up scraps no one else wants for inflated prices. This board continues to con the fans and get away with it. The game today was a complete farce. I'd wager any other team in the championship and a few In league 1 would have got a better result. We've been In a position of knowing we were going to be In the championship since Christmas and no proper planning has been done whatsoever. Forget the takeover (another farce) we should have had things in place for this season months ago but again shortsightedness and wishful thinking from men who should know much better has ****ed us. We NEED a good start. Lose to Derby and we're in massive trouble.

Welcome to the world of Ellis Short..

Why do you think the seats are still pink? He isn't interested buddy and hasn't been for a long time now. If by a freak we storm the league, then he will be there to sap up the glory in the later games, sitting in his usual chair surrounded by his usual mob, feeling proud and more so a sale..

Think +% think Ellis, that's all it's about with him, nothing more..<ok>

    Paradox
    • a statement or proposition which, despite sound (or apparently sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems logically unacceptable or self-contradictory.

So... Losing our first game puts us in massive trouble? Not precisely sure how.

Didn't see the match today due to working in Scotland but my take s as much as any other pre season game, it's pre season.

Celtic are also significantly harder worked due to the Europa as well.
Means nowt. We lost to a side who'd probably be struggling in the premier league. So what.

Todays game doesn't dent my enthusiasm for the season at all. Still looking forward to it. These words may come back to bite me in 3 months however!

I think Kone might have shagged himself out of a move after that performance.

What an absolute shambles that performance was, very worrying given it was essentially Celtic B.

There was no sign that Grayson has implemented anything positive on the team.

Same old ****, can't string two passes together so hoof it back to the other team.

Catts Mcgeady and Grabban tried but apart from that it was total dross.

On reflection although it wasn't Celtic's best side they were still very good in fairness. It was like playing an upper mid table premier league side fit as fiddles and bursting with confidence. No excuse for our own performance but I think I'd underestimated how good they were.

Steele having one of the worst debuts I've seen didn't help either. Couple of goals down and they lost their heads but those goals shouldn't have happened.

Have you not been watching how badly damaging bad starts have been for us for that last 5 years? Have you not seen our fixtures after the Derby game? Do you know anything about momentum in sport? Can you not see how no ****er will want to come to us if derby pezzle us aswell? Did you not notice it was celtic reserves that turned us over? Obviously not on all counts

After all the hyperbole coming out of the camp the last week or so, I was expecting a much better performance than we got yesterday, so I am slightly alarmed by it.

I guess there's a few of us are worried about getting of to a bad start yet again but also assuming that every other team will be getting off to a blinder.

Friday night will tell us a lot more.

For anyone not watching the stream here are the highlights - or should I say lowlights :emoticon-0101-sadsm

A lot of work to be done before Friday, need to sell Kone and get Ruiter in as soon as possible.

Harsh on Grayson like. Another Sunderland fan unreasonable on time scales. What is it with us and a demand for an instant turn of fortune? We've been ran into the ground for years and bulked the squad out over that time with the wrong attitudes, years and years of players with bad attitudes coming and going. It's no couple of months fix, it takes years.

My point about being realistic with a mid table finish being the best we can hope for stands is for reasons like this. He's just a bloke who's a manager. He's not a superhero who can render contracts void with lazer eyes and attract exceptional players with no money and just his mind. We're full of poison and on a **** budget. It's going to take a long time to clear all the attitudes and the hardest part, bring in players with the right attitude who are going to be good enough to contribute to a promotion, get them playing well together and to change the atmosphere.

I think Vaughan is a good example of what Grayson is bringing. Cost **** all and I can see why but he's working his ass off on the pitch, chasing lost causes all over, no doubt he wants to play for us. He'll get goals too once unleashed on some dodgy defences.

Fill us out with grafters with the right attitude like Vaughan, first and foremost, then build on quality. the Work ethic has to be the backbone to start with and even that will time to install. Building takes time innit.
