On the plus side, some teams complaining they have 7,8,9 games in December, we only have 4 until the transfer window. January sales?

Well these 26,000 that handicap our players forcing them into being piss poor will soon be rapidly reducing so at least then we can start and play like Brazil again. The crowd are the new "rotten core", I know this because I read it on here, it is fact, and anybody who doesn't agree cannot speak Swahili or something like that.

Do you get to many games at other clubs, other grounds?
I'm not having a go at the fans but there is definitely a brittleness in the atmosphere at the SoL. Like the crowd is always on the edge of criticising, which I haven't experienced in any other ground across Europe.

If you can understand how this is what you're doing it might help you calm down a little bit.

    Straw Man:

A straw man is a form of argument and an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man".

Note to @DH4 he's not saying it's all the crowds fault that we're losing or that if nobody went we'd play better, these are things you invented and then got mad at <laugh>

It is a logical conclusion that if the crowd makes the players play ****e, then no fans attending would automatically make the same players play better, not rocket science or should I say astro physics for the pedantic amongst us.

No you categorically said that fans are causing bad results. Verbatim. I got 5 "O" levels at school including English language, so I have no difficulty in reading, writing, spelling or comprehension of my native tongue. You on the other hand seem to think that your opinion is fact and despite how overtly bizarre it is and resort to being condescending in an effort to appear more intelligent than myself and thus render what I have said as nonsense. Are you a politician by any chance?

I have been to over 50 grounds so the answer to that is yes. No other club has experienced as much crap as us Sunderland fans have in the last 10 years not surprisingly fans are a tad annoyed about it.

I said the atmosphere was poor and it wasn't helping the players, which you've twisted into a whole heap of bullshit because you got your knickers in a twist about it.

Maybe take your stellar reading comprehension and read the straw man definition again because that's you all day long.

    Classic example of this:

A slippery slope argument (SSA), in logic, critical thinking, political rhetoric, and caselaw, is a logical fallacy in which a party asserts that a relatively small first step leads to a chain of related events culminating in some significant (usually negative) effect.

Other clubs have experienced just as much crap in that time and at other times. I used to watch Carlisle regularly when Michael Knighton owned them. The willingness to criticise just wasn't there. I was there when Chesterfield were relegated to the Conference two seasons ago, again the atmosphere just wasn't brittle like it is at our place. It's been there for years, the first bad pass, the first missed tackle and the atmosphere gets tense. It's weird.

Obfuscation, I'll not define that for you as you have nothing to declare but your genius as Oscar Wilde once said.

God knows, the morning after the night before and it still looks grim.

Ross may have had us sliding towards a poor season, this guy has us plummeting towards the bottom!

Grigg, who tbh everyone thought was going to be 'on fire' and score goals has turned out to be a damp squib.

Some players have to leave in January and some come in...who should the manager be?

Just like the foggy weather it is hard to see the way ahead

There you go again, me pointing out how the arguments you're making are false doesn't mean that I'm saying I'm a genius. I'm not obscuring anything just trying to show you why you're barking up the wrong tree getting mad about things that you've imagined.

There you go again, first I was a simpleton who couldn't understand you. Now I am delusional. Classic deflectory tactics. Please do not reply to me again as I have better things to do than argue semantics.

Suits me. I'm more than happy to drop it if you're happy to stop trying to bait an argument about it.

To be fair to DH4v many top posters on here have criticised the crowds involvement at the SOL and probably rightly so, its a chicken and egg situation so both of you are right imho. <ok>
