Haway the lads this is the first time I can remember they haven’t let us down in front of a big crowd for a bloody long time, is this the corner turner at last
Bloody hope so Rooch, forgotten how many times we've shot our selves in the foot in the past. Would be nice to give the Shrews a pasting on Saturday.
I’m really pleased with the win yesterday. As mentioned we didn’t screw the big occasion up. Credit is deserved on a few fronts here. The players did the business after the set back at Portsmouth. The fans for the truly fantastic turn out. The ownership of the club who obviously invested in the club when it was in a bad way. They have talked about the potential of the club in the past but I bet yesterday really opened their eyes. Nothing like reality when it’s there in front of you. I hope all the posters on this board had a great Christmas especially after yesterday!
If the shoe was on the other foot I'd have been fuming if We had had that goal disallowed. Great crowd. Need to back it up on Saturday.
We would all have been fuming, but the Bradford fans must also have realised that we could, and should, have been 5 or 6 ahead by then, and they would have been extremely lucky to have equalised, instead of it being just a consolation goal, which would have been more just
On the other hand we were by far the better Team on the day. So the worst you can say is that the Ref was wrong but the result right. And on my return to The Stadium after 15 months out, it was a joy to see it near as dammit, full. I even managed to walk most of the way there AND back. Sore today, but I don't give a watsit AND I'll be there on Saturday as well. I'm not entirely sure that all this is a case to sing - Happy Days are here AGAIN - I've been a fan too long for that, but it's all a step in the right direction. Onwards and upwards.
I've been really impressed with O'Nien in his new role, Matthews has got real competition for his place when he returns to fitness
