They started better than us first 10 mins or so but we have blown them away tbh. Good to see us finishing chances off. We've played well considering it's not our strongest side.
Tell you what an O’Brien first goal makes this close to perfect. The only thing that would have topped it would have been a Grigg goal as well
well pleased with that mind...the U21's have nowt to be ashamed of, played a decent game and kept going. reet, one lad who does not seem to have had much of a mention is leadbitter, especially that run he made to win the ball at one point, like a ferret down a rabbit hole, good range of passing as well...yeh we could argue he was given the sort of time he will not normally get but very accurate forward passes are always 'up there' for me. our young lads, one or two little mistakes, probably less than expected and they will iron them out with more game time...they again did themselves no harm, dont be shocked to see them getting first team league games. DG and AO getting on the scoresheet was a bonus, is wyke starting to believe again?
Excellent result tonight regardless of the opposition and its an even bigger bonus to see so many players hit the net, including Graham breaking his duck on his first appearance. The only thing that confuses me is Scowen hasnt just turned into a decent player overnight, so why did Parkinson freeze him out last year? Going off his pre season performances he could have been a big player for us on our promotion push last year if he was given some time on the pitch?
