Club pay tribute to 67’ League Cup winners with third round prices …

  • Ticket prices confirmed for Sunderland tie
  • £6.70 maximum price when purchased in advance in acknowledgment of 50th anniversary of League Cup triumph
  • EFL Cup clash takes place on Wednesday 21st September - 7.45pm kick-off
  • Whole ground open for fixture
FIFTY years on from QPR’s 1967 League Cup victory, the club is delighted to confirm details of a unique ticketing offer for our EFL Cup third round tie against Sunderland at Loftus Road.

Throughout this season, we’re paying tribute to the class of 1966/67, who – as well as winning the division three title – famously clinched the League Cup at Wembley Stadium, coming from behind to defeat West Bromwich Albion 3-2 to become the first third tier team to win a major trophy at the home of English football.

In acknowledgment of the 50th anniversary of our League Cup triumph, we’re offering adult, senior over-60’s and young adult (18-21) supporters the chance to purchase advance tickets (prior to matchday) for just £6.70 for our third round clash on Wednesday 21st September. Junior under-18 tickets will be priced £5.00, while under-8's will be FREE when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

Supporters should note, adult, senior over-60’s and young adult (18-21) tickets purchased on the day of the fixture will be priced £15, so fans are advised to purchase in advance.

Tickets will go on sale at 10.00am on Tuesday (30th August), with Season Ticket holders having until Tuesday 6th September to claim their own seat.

Thank you for your fan-tastic support!

Fantastic piece of marketing,, at long last.

10,000+ would be good to create a reasonable atmosphere. Spotted it's a Wednesday again.

I'd like to think at those prices for a relatively late stage of the cup against a Prem side we'd fill it. Would be poor to only get 10,000 in.

It is a great idea and gesture by the Club, and I hope that the fans respond.
It should be close to a sell out!

well some things are written in the stars, and we all know that we are going to win the league cup this season so looking forward to qpr playing a full team against sunderland
and i know that the game will be so exiting a 6 goal classic ending with the qpr fans in wonderland
sunderland will feel very unjustly treated as they would have thought that the two goal lead at half time would have been enough
but to concede four goals in the second half looked an impossiblity it just shows how sometimes these games are so very tough

Good stuff by the club. <applause> I cannot understand why they don't make these cup games £1 at the early stages to get a crowd in?

You lot are getting excited....but for those over 60s who were actually there at Wembley 50 years ago

WHY THE PRICE INCREASE!!!!!!

I paid £5 to see Rochdale...now I have to pay £6.70...that is UNACCEPTABLE

Do not believe the lies...I have been victimised

Previous games in EFL were £10 adults and £1 for under 18s but with the £6.70 adult ticket price my sons ticket has now gone up to £5 so I'm am actually having to pay more for this game!!

I am only Joshing......I think it is a nice touch...the pricing 6.70 is of course the "nice touch".

A better nice touch would of course...going all the way to Wembley and winning the thing.
Happy to pay £67 for a ticket to see the Rs lift the League Cup again (yes I know its not called that too!)
