Brill stuff, love it. You're just a puppy, I've turned 50 now. Boots well & truly slung in the loft. Keep up the good work Joe.
Well we hard fought victory. 0-0 at half time and I thought it was the same as last week, dominated possession but couldn't find the net. 2nd half we came out and after about 15 minutes we won a pen, one of our lads blatantly pushed in the box. Pen was scored and we followed that up 10 mins later, when a corner was cleared we got the ball in the box and we scored with a header. 3 games, 2 wins and a draw so a good start. I had a good few beers after the game so forgot about my match report . One of the lads who was injured videoed the foul and pen
I loved my Sunday league football.. played until my early 40's before playing over 40's until my many knee injuries forced me to hang up my boots..
When I was younger I was a hell of a sprinter, so spent all my football life playing either on the wing or up front..
I played left back at school & for the platoon. Wasn't exactly very good tbh but I was quick. Couldn't run for a bus these days. Skill wise I was a bit Gareth Hallish, lol.
At senior school I played for my own year, the year above and from the 3rd year onwards the year above again.. I also played for Seaham Boys, as Ryhope came under that league rather than Sunderland.
Turned out for Sunday league once as they were a couple short. Bastards put all 9st & 5'6" of me at centre half. ****s. Needless to say, both the team & me got a right twatting.
I was always ****e in the air and only scored a handful of goals with my head... Mind you, some of the centre half's that I played against were big lads..
