Gomis is a very good player and there's a reason why he's got games up front for France. I'd love him up the road at Newcastle for us lot. That said, it's telling that bigger clubs aren't interested in a 'free' player and that he isn't pushing his agent for a move to a champions league team. Big wages and a risk but when you're mid-table (like we both are) the only chance you have of getting top players is by developing them or taking a punt on one others aren't sure about. If we get him he's ace and we've done you, if you get him he's ****e, a total liability and you've been done.
