I agree that the risk is still significant and I don't think we'll get out of trouble by our own efforts alone. I still think it will be Reading that joins Blackpool and Wigan. Whatever happens, we need to see some radical changes next season but considered ones with some footballing nous driving them.
Morning lads and lasses. If you can find someone to put the ball in the net, you should be fine. Also, if you keep your pot smoking, conspiracy theorist, lunatic (Abe) confined to this board, I'll be happy to forfeit yesterday's points. Deal?
Couldn't comment last night after watching that garbage. Not going to labour this but our quality on the ball is so poor it's embarrassing. Some of the on pitch decisions made by players were baffling. We had a corner down in front of me and Ojo ran (jogged ) over to take it. We had 4 giants in the box, McGuinness, Wickham, Kaba and Kipre set up against their dwarfs and Ojo took it short to Philo who cocked it up completely. Get the ball into the box - you won't score from the ****ing touchline. The starting set up obviously wasn't working and Lamouchi was right to change it early - I applaud him for that, but the problem was we had no real plan B nor the players to implement it. I was OK with Rhino, but Simpson to left back was never going to get us into a game in which we were being outplayed. Later on, Wintle looked out on his feet and thought he should be hooked, but he stayed to play with Ralls and that gave him a second wind - he reads the game well defensively but lacks any vision going forward. To be honest they were running rings around us and we'd already lost the game when we resorted to long ball play. Sickening to watch, and however positive I can be posting on here on times, that sort performance is going to send us down. I just wonder if Lamouchi now senses that as a distinct possibility and is preparing the ground with some of his post match comments. Looks to me as if he's strapping his parachute on.
The team selection, the tactics (I use that word very loosely), the communication on and off field was so poor. No one had a f'ing clue.
Well Ince has gone now. New manager bounce? As for some footballing nous to drive us, we’ll never achieve this with the clowns running our club. IF we manage to stay up something serious needs to be done or we’ll be having this conversation again next year. We’re Cardiff City FFS, not Accrington Stanley! I’ve been supporting this club for 44 years. I’ve been there when we’ve had three men and a dog on the Bob Bank in the lower divisions and watched as this club grew to a Premier League outfit. The way things are going we could end up in Division One for the next few seasons. Tan, Dalman, Choo et al, if you are reading this FFS get a grip.
The team selection was wrong but whilst he implicitly accepted this with 2 first half subs he then compounded his earlier error by getting those wrong as well Why is it the opposition players in our home games seem to be more alert, quicker to the ball & switched on and to put it bluntly make our players look sluggish and amateur? How we could do with players like Pritchard and that blonde winger
I don't think Pritchard cost them much. He was at his best at Brentford and has had regular injuries along the way. The winger, Clarke, cost them about £5m from Spurs. Pritchard, Clarke and their scorer, Cirkin, are all ex-Spurs. We got Etete!!!
I know weve got a poor squad but that was a complete and utter shambles. Following on from the baffling tactics v Swansea yesterday was even worse. The squad isnt Lamouchis fault but he has to take responsibility for 0 points from 2 mid table outfits. Yesterday was behond embarrassing. I dont think him or the players had a clue what they were doing. First feckin corner and nobody is ready to take it. Its like someone suddenly said Joes on the bench lads anyone fancy a go. Pathetic clearly hadnt worked on set plays against the smallest side ive seen in years.
That was the pathetic corner I mentioned earlier. Complete embarrassment of indecision. Nobody knew what to do and in the end did nothing.
