You're welcome. As you are probably aware prior to Sky the only way to see a game was to queue up with your two bob (10p) for the game. No such thing as merchandising and the money went into the club from the supporters alone. Most clubs had a sprinkling of internationals from the home countries and they were considered the "glamour teams" but the main element for all fans was patience, especially with young lads starting out or new signings who more often than not came from the lower divisions.

Travelling for away matches was hardly ever done, but away for a cup tie always had a few bus loads and mixing with the home fans was routine.

Know what you mean about the class of '92, but when I have been over OT way I like to make the point with your fans that they may never have happened if Ince, Kanchelskis and Hughes hadn't bailed out.

    Cheers again Nos!

I have no doubts that there was an element of serendipity in our good fortune. Scholes, Gary Neville and Giggs aside, who would have risen through the ranks and forced their way into the side regardless through talent alone.

Butt, P Neville and Becks were the lucky benefactors of 'positions opening up' but they all done a grand job when called upon, ultimately they were released and replaced with upgrades.

Keane is also overlooked when showering the class of 92 with praise, he was more instrumental to our success than any of them for a long time. Chuck in Fergie, Cantona, Bruce, Stam, Ruud, Cole, OGS and it does look a lot more 'right place, right time'.

Scholes once suggested to the owner of Inter that if he wanted Scholes to play for him he'd have to buy United. I don't think any of our current players would show that kind of loyalty.

All English clubs need to put local talent development right at the top of their agenda, there's something about local players that you just can't buy. We need to rediscover English football to appreciate the game again.
