Personally think we are going to get smashed today Swansea beat us 4-0 and 3-1 last year I believe and unfortunately I cant see any different Going to be very difficult today I think! Would take a point in this now tbh
Just spoken to kids on blower, little-un says 3-2 slightly bigger little-un says 2-1 there's my bets for today
I'd take a point but I think we can beat them. We need two game plans here, if we get time on the ball we need to use it well, if we don't get time on the ball we need to be quick out and effective on the break. Teams have worked out that if they press us high we can't retain the ball so we need to be well organised and have our counter game nailed down.
We play like we did against Southampton first half today against you with 11 players, or like we did against Everton Tuesday and we will put you to the sword. Before Bony got sent off, we battered them last week
Best of luck to Swansea after today of course, both Swansea ans Southampton play football as it should be played and are a credit to the league, we need to learn from them if we are to progress.
How have you lads been playing under Poyet this season? Is it still the same attacking philosophy? Still can't quite understand how you escaped from relegation and it will take a hell of an achievement for another club to top that
If you ask a lot of the fellas on here then we'd agree that we're underachieving ATM mate. Catts has been a rock in midfield as always and rodwell is starting to find his feet and match fitness. Gus likes a possession based game but at times we've struggled in our delivery into the final third and our strikers are suffering, their low on confidence too.. Aj has been aj, in & out of games, quite surprised with monk tbh, I think your boys are really buying into him which must be satisfying for ya's!
Sunderland: Mannone, Jones, van Aanholt, Vergini, O’Shea (c), Larsson, Rodwell, Cattermole, Johnson, Buckley, Wickham. Subs: Bridcutt, Fletcher, Gomez, Altidore, Mavrias, Alvarez, Pantilimon. Swansea: Fabianski, Rangel, Taylor, Williams (c), Fernandez, Ki, Shelvey, Sigurdsson, Dyer, Routledge, Gomis. Subs: Montero, Emnes, Bartley, Bony, Carroll, Richards, Tremmel.
Not much at the minute from either team, we need to bring on Bony and Montero, as Routs and Gomis not effective today........
Mate if he played any sport over here then I reckon he would walk into the socceroos, kangaroos, wallabies and an all Australian as captain for all those codes! Immense player!
