Not lived in Sunderland so can't really comment but I've lived in Newcastle and it was just ****ing horrific mate, never again.
To be honest, both are far superior to York. Sure, the City is nice but the people are absolute arseholes! It is a boring place too.
Spent a lot of time in York and loved it. My friends there do live within a very short walk to the city walls though.

Just got back from the game and wish I'd stayed at home - terrible game with two sides well below par and not a sheep in sight! You lot should've won it after the red card, but in truth the game could have gone on a couple more hours and there still wouldn't have been a goal. That said would not have felt hard done by if you lot had nicked it at the end - we were 'pants' for most of the game. Quite amusing couple of minutes spent reading the comments though; never understand the levels of bitterness from both sets of supporters, it's just a game lads - no need for all the insults. But guess you'll be on our side next Saturday when we play your beloved neighbours! For what it's worth I believe you'll be fine this season, as bad as we both played today, you have a lot of quality in your side and, although it wasn't apparent today - so do we. So good luck for the rest of the season - used to gig a bit in your neck of the woods and have a few mackem mates (and no V-Joe, not as part of a choir - feckin' hate choirs!!!) that I have a lot of time for and have had many drunken nights with, and a load of great times.
