3.24 seconds in. He is spot on. Get fed up of England correspondents for example " Yes the players are out on the training pitch, they looked very relaxed, one or two sharing a joke", what the f#@k do they expect them to be doing, climbing the walls or shacking in the corner. I really like Alex Neil mind, more I see and hear from him. You could probably count on one hand how many ****s he has given in his life (nowt sexual like).
Looking at that thread on twitter, we truly have some stupid fans. “Announce a player” or “not interested until you announce something worthwhile”. Haven’t we already announced Dajaku? Do they just expect the club to be out and signing players regardless. Nofoubt the club will announce someone these people don’t like and they’ll complain about that announcement!!
Social media, forums, etc, sadly give a platform to people who no one would normally talk to. In today's 'me me me now now now' society players have to be signed now, takeovers done in days and success achieved every season. In reality very few clubs win anything. Some clubs never see a Wembley win, have never seen New Wembley, haven't won a current major trophy in 60 years ... ... you only have to look a few miles up the road
Agree Smug, when you sit back and take stock of just our club in my 60+ years supporting the lads we have been to Wembley 8 times iirc. Dozens of teams throughout the EFL and Premiership have never been to 'the home of English football'. We've rarely had a season when we've languished in mid table obscurity, we're either fighting to go up or scrapping not to go down, the saying there's never a dull moment being a fan of this club is absolutely right. Without social media people like me relied on the back page of the local rag to see what's happening at my club, I'm not really a fan of all this Twitter and Facebook carry on, I get all I need from this forum and I look on the BBC website to see what's happening in the league above us. As for signings it's a laugh to see whose been touted as coming to us but in reality just sit back and wait till business is concluded then get excited or otherwise. Don't like the close season as a weekend without football doesn't sit easy with me even at my age. So roll on fixture release day and then business as usual at the back end of July.HTL
And you can guarantee that when they do announce any signings, they will be written off (by some) as ****e before they have even kicked a ball for us.
This was the main reason I was desperate to get down to the Checkatrade final with the bairn. The competition gets a lot of stick but I didn't know if I would get the chance to take him again. Luckily I did!
