Disagree every Sunday morning marra. Also, 11th November, lest we forget. If the King walked passed I'd bend the knee as well. Each to their own. 2-0 to the lads Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy
Big old game this. The international knocks are a frustration but not a killer. Wolves are poor but still have a lot of quality, so I fancy them to score. 2-1 the lads.
Well I’ll be there in person for this one, as well as multiple pre& post match pints. Hope to meet a few of the usual suspects. As for the game, as long as we don’t lose I’ll be happy. But I fancy a 2-1 win. HAWAY Bart
Brilliant RTB.....thank you as always for an amazing match thread. Going to be an interesting one this one if the injury scares turn into reality. Excellent opportunity for the replacements to make big statements. If Diarra and Sadiki missing they represented pace and power which to me is what we always craved for. But they are other ways to come at this if this power is not available. Ballard and Mukiele at the back are very strong both defensively and offensively. Xhaka is huge and put young Riggy in there for energy plus Geertruida I will take that. Wilson, Mayenda and Brobbey combinations upfront....take that plus Le Fee into the mix with Talbi for starters. Wow what a squad....3 - 1 to the lads....Wilson 2 plus one for Riggy.....HTL plus HTB....(HAWAY THE BRIDGE).....LOL!!!!
That is a thorough starting post, even lists the VAR crew, team attributes and playstyles. Won't find that attention to detail anywhere else. RTB is a 'leaves no stone unturned' kind of guy. Wolves bottom of the table with only 2 draws to their name, only team without a win, so it'll happen sometime soon. Close game but I think we'll win by a goal 1-0. Home advantage especially good for this one. Wolves can pick up their first win another day, in front of their own home supporters. I think all prem matches are taking the knee just for this weekend to promote the no room for racism campaign. None will want to be the team to refuse to take part in a premier league anti racism campaign, so going to have to deal with it, whether the clubs wanted to participate or not.
This is another hard game (cliché, cliché). Wolves will see an opportunity to nick points and the game doesn't have the glamour/size of Arsenal or Liverpool to get the crowd geed right up. We will need the team and fans working together and giving everything.
Another great match thread @RTB, you really are a god send. Even if Alderete is fit, I would find a place for Ballard in the team. That Strand Larsen looks an old fashioned centre forward and I think Ballard would be better suited to handling him. As for midfield, I would have Geertruida alongside Xhaka if Sadiki is out and Rigg in for Diarra. Enzo protecting Masuaku on the left and a choice of Talbi, Traore or Mayenda on the right with Wilson up front. Going for a home win, 1-0 or 2-1
Brilliant thread as per usual, RTB. Thank you for your quality content. I am disappointed to possibly be losing Aldarete and Sadiki and hope both are back very soon, but when we can call on Ballard and Geertruida, we're still in good shape. This game will be a battle, but I expect Isidor to be the deciding factor. Fancy him to get a brace in a 2-0 win. Haway the new bridge and HTL!!!!
Got some hard games coming up so hopefully we can get something from this, not ideal losing 2 more crucial players, but I think we still have enough to get something from this game, I'm going 3-1 to the lads, HAWAY, HAWAY, HAWAY
HA'WAY THE LADS MACKEMS ATTACKEM My best mates team and we haven't had any banter for years so looking forward to this one. Cooomon. Hope O'Nien gets a run out.
Great to have the match thread back @RTB I have to be honest bit nervous about this one. Probably because I followed Sunderland for so long!! Depending on the injuries this is a test of our squad Here's hoping
Weird thing is my Dad was born in Wolverhampton (family moved there for a very short time back in the day) and always looked out for their results on a Saturday when he was writing down the results on his pools checker in the paper ( can anybody else remember that, I used to get wrong for even talking whilst the final scores where on ). He was the eldest sibling of nine and the family moved back to Boldon not long after he was born, but he always looked out for their results. For this one my head says score draw but my heart says we win. Think I will go with my heart on this one and a 2-1 win for the lads.
I remember writing down the results on the newspaper when they came through on the teleprinter on Grandstand. Would do all 4 divisions and the Scottish leagues, and have to wait for the results of the 3.15 kick offs to come in…. and then never look at them again!
