    Thanks
I grew up in Hetton <cheers>
    Welcome to the forum.

I just listened to what Tony Mowbray said on Total Sport
He seems to reckon that Max is not ready yet and will probably be in the U21s tonight.

Looking at the voting on this thread and the words coming out of the camp, it feels like confidence has dipped a bit. Wigan are a better team than we give them credit for and this will be a hard game.

Hopefully Cirkin is back, but not if it means rushing him.

They will be only one change to replace the suspended Evans imo

    HA'WAY THE LADS MACKEMS ATTACKEM.

Av not been on much last few weeks apart from popping on and checking scores.
    Had a few issues .

I've heard of that "work life balance" thingy.
But does anyone else seem to have a "Sunderland life balance" FFS?

Anyways hopefully get back to winning ways now.

I agree with Mowbray about the Netflix stuff. Think it's been a jinx for us and a distraction in the past.
That said, fer him to say he likes to stay under the radar, he obviously doesn't listen to his pressers FFS  <laugh>

    Cooooomon.

    And welcome @Hettonlass :emoticon-0148-yes:

Can not drop Alese as he's been our best players last few weeks. I agree with the back 3 shout though as we need more phyiscality so I would start both Cirkin and Alese. I would go:

    Pato
    Onien Baath Cirkin
    Gooch Matete Neil Alese
    Amad Pritchard
    Clarke

I was tempted to drop Pritchard but think we need his experience and leadership with Evans out. Amad I think will be better as a no10 and allowed to float around the pitch, he looks lost as a no9

I’m really not sure about Ahmed tbh he looks class ie his touches and movement but i think the big moves got to his head seems to me like he thinks we are beneath him imo.
Ofcourse I could be way off the mark just my opinion.

Fair enough, I just think he lacks a bit of football intelligence. As he said technically, he is really good, his movement is just really poor - thats why I was suggesting given him more of a free role and see what he does. Not confident for tomorrow at all as they will sit deep and narrow and without a physical striker we will struggle, hope i'm wrong tho

I think you might have hit a nail on the head here mate. I havent been impressed really so far, although you can see this amazing touch he has, and some skills. I think you have summed up better than I could the bit missing - football intelligence. Him as a 9 looked pretty rough but that is a very structured role. Give him freedom to roam might unleash him. I hope so anyway.

Difficult game ahead. You just know one of the 4 will come back and score. Still think we create enough just need to start taking the chances. Who knows tomorrow might just be the day. Fingers crossed but think we might just shade it although I think Evans will be a big miss. Keep the faith lads and lasses.

If O'Nien gets a yellow card he will serve a one match ban, then Wright or Cirkin will play

Good point, as 09 will probably get a yellow against some of Wigan's ex-Sunderland players as they will wind each other up.

Wigan are the best away team in the league so far. I think we’ll struggle especially if TM sticks with a similar line up. 0-1 with a set piece goal

Went for a draw but my gut feeling is we'll get beat. Here's hoping I'm wrong!
