Roberts is up for it today. Needs someone to exploit the space created by him taking 3 players out of position.
We're literally hanging on now for the World cup and to start afresh in Jan. Injuries have once again ruined us
Alese has been further up the field than any other Sunderland for most of the first half. The only chance of him being involved in the game is if we played long balls up the wing. He's not an option for the ball in the transition and he was nowhere to be seen in defence. Utterly bizarre performance. Dan Neil is often filling the left wing back spot when bringing the ball forward. Is there some tactical switch that I'm completely missing?
The 2 games against Watford and Reading gave us a false sense of security....Having no strikers is beginning to hurt now.
Hard to take but old heads are an advantage, we need to stay calm and take our chances, easy said but do-able, that was Wykes first goal of the season by the way.
