Tin hat on but thought ELF was poor today. His corners were lifting with the front man (eventually, appreciate it was flicked by Wilson to Cirkin for the goal) but really don't think he played well today.

Probably yeah, can't blame him when he's being written off left right and centre.

Some people could write a player off in the warm up.

Thought he did pretty well in the first part of the game. Couple of moments of real magic. Think he was guilty of forcing it second half - particularly when central. Also one or two moments where he dawdled on it. It was a dice roll to play him central in a 4-4-2 but not one I’d like to see us repeat all too often.

Has anyone done that? We’re allowed to praise the team when they deserve it and criticise when they’re poor, some fans can’t accept that for some reason though and take it as a total head loss. I wonder how many times Fergie came out after United dropped points and said “never mind Arsenal dropped points today too”.

His corners had me boiling TBH. He was visibility frustrated in front of us too. Just wasn't seem to be clicking.

    No tin hat needed.

He had a couple of moments but was poor overall, that said, when he moved central at end you could see what he will bring. Didn’t land one but was trying diagonal balls in behind and they will be a weapon when we have wingers back.

Today wasn’t nearly as bad a result as folk are trying to make it though, they were a decent side, 8 & 10 for them were excellent. They are 3 points off playoffs.

These are games we need to win, but they exactly the type of games the other 3 will drop points in.

Had a bit of a think over the match.

I think that game has solidified a feeling that I've had with our team for a while. I don't think we will go up this season. I think we are missing something. I'm not sure if it's just how unbalanced we are without the wingers but compared to the rest of the top 4 we seem to be lacking the ability to fully grind out results in every match.

We are not bad or shocking or anything like that but it just feels like we are slightly short. I do hope we go up but I simply struggle to believe we will. That may ultimately be more of a criticism of me as a fan but promotion just doesn't seem credible from what I have seen this season. Apologies for the downbeat ramble

Loads have done that man. Come on. Absolutely nowt wrong with criticising the team. I’m doing it plenty myself this evening. However the reality is single games are not binary indicators. Every win doesn’t mean we’re definitely going up just like every dropped point doesn’t mean we’re certain to fail. We’re in the mix and we will be for a while yet. But even that doesn’t guarantee anything.

They’ve lost 9 away games this season mate.. only 1 less than Plymouth. Simply have to beating teams like them at home otherwise it puts pressure on in the tougher fixtures. Top 3 have all already beaten them at home anarl.

Looked better on the wing. Disappeared when he went central

    Exactly mate.

We ‘can’t get results like the others’ yet are 2 points behind Burnley?

Odd. We’ve taken 7 from 12 from the 2 teams above us, that also doesn’t mean we are better than them. It’s swings and roundabouts.

We drew with a decent team that played well. We are just as much in the hunt as we were this morning. There’s 45 points left.

We probably ARE gonna come up short for autos. However watching us this season is struggle to bet against us in the playoffs. We always raise our game against the best.

Lots of ‘papering over the cracks’ comments if we don’t win.

They are also a good side who have been underperforming. They were expected to compete for playoffs and they will.

We have beaten teams that the top 3 haven’t also. It doesn’t mean ****.

They turned up and played well today. We don’t play the same team, Watford at Leeds isn’t an identical replica of Watford at Sunderland etc.

Individual matches bare no relation to previous results, or else sport would be utterly pointless and disengaging.

We were **** today but fought back for a point and we have wingers due back. It’s not a crisis.

I think a lot will change when we get our wide players back and start stretching teams. The opposition coach will have a hard time trying to decide who to double up on.
Thats just me looking for the silver lining.

By the way I agree that we are a little bit short but we are very, very close. A lot closer than I expected at the start of the season.

And this is the point mate.. those points are irrelevant if we go and drop points against the poor teams. It comes down to how many points we accumulate at the end of the season not who we accumulate them against.

And of course it’s not always the same game against different opponents but they’re still dreadful away and have lost 7 of their last 10 in total. They weren’t a good team at all we were just ****e. It’s dropped points no matter you look at it. If we’re accepting of dropping points against mid table teams at home who are we actually looking at as teams we should comfortably beat?

So, by that logic, is the Sheff Utd win against us irrelevant because they lost 3-0 at home to Hull?

Think for the time being Aleksic probably has to get more involved, would hope he starts against Luton midweek on the left with enzo through the middle.

However even though it shouldnt be a write off with no jobe (it feels like it ended up being because hes the only physical midfielder we have) the previous games where hes not played yielded similar results:
    - Since he signed he has missed 7 games now
    - We have won of those games
    - 6 draws
    - 1 loss (this was the only one in the cup)
