Sheff Utd lose the lead home to Portsmouth.

Less shots, less on target and Portsmouth have hit the woodwork …

    … just saying.

Rigg has been ****e for months and he’s been called out for it on here for months..? Just because he’s a local lad that’s full of potential doesn’t mean he’s exempt from criticism, unfortunately we aren’t a mid table charity case who can afford to field players who are continually offering nothing because we’ve nothing to play for. We have some very good options in our squad now and fans will rightly get frustrated when we continue to field players who offer nout. Mayenda is getting benched and offers much more than Rigg, why aren’t you whinging about that?

You just don't like when anyway says any safc player has been poor or not good enough.

    That's ok.

However I am allowed, and will say it. Others have said it plenty on here too. I think many have said Rigg as been "sluggish, slow, tired, needs dropping". Seems to be the consensus TBH.

His stats show this too. But ok. You just go on

He still has a huge part to play this season but I think he would be more effective off the bench when opponents are tired

He does make some great movements and has moments where you just think 'wow what a talent' but just not impacting games enough considering the position he is playing

Weirdly I think what we’re seeing is that Rigg needs to start the big games. However in games where we need to break down a stubborn opponent he’s less effective. Would enable us to rotate him and protect him a bit. He’d start against leeds for me but I dunno if he does against Luton.

I don't think Rigg's been playing badly exactly but he makes way for Le Fee for me. Think it'll be a case of waiting for Mundle/Watson though.

The worrying thing is the premier league players are proper athletes. Full of pace and power. We need to bring in more of the same to compete there (if we go up)

I thought he did well enough first half, trailed second. Snatched at tow goal scoring opportunities though first half. He’ll be benched though when we have a left side. Good that Poveda is picking up minutes. Add tbe two left aides in the next fortnight and we have options to change games.

Agreed. That's why he needs to be hooked and benched.

It’s not quite Jobe levels of last season being flogged but it’s getting there. Give the lad the rest and rotation he needs at that age…

Could have lost….should have won …. so a draw is probably a fair result.

But draws aren’t enough for us in our position. We need to be building momentum and putting pressure on the other 3 teams not making it easy for them.
Who knows, come May that point might be enough to get us automatic, but tonight you can’t help feeling it won’t be and we seem to keep on missing these opportunities to catch up.

Agreed. Long term is important but Christ 3 points are here and now and it matters this time round. It didn't under Dodds and mid to lower table.

The more I think about it, the more it’s horses for courses. I’d be playing the Boro team in most of our games against top sides, but we need to do something different against the others. More creativity and control needed.

CR was defo better first half but he’s snatching at chances, and has been for a little while. Seems like it’s bothering him. I trust him completely against the teams around us but we need something different in other games I think. Given so many of our remains home games are against lower teams, we need a rethink.

Well that was disappointing Probably our worst home performance this season for me.
I don't understand why we sit off teams at home we are a far better side when we press high.
We allowed Watford to play and they took advantage. They created little but we seemed happy just to let them have possession.
In the end we could have won it. Why not that positivity from the start
Hopefully RLB can learn from it but the last two home games have been very poor
