Quite like an early KO. I don't drink mind, so that might be different if I did

I hadn't looked tbh, I still think it'll be 11 behind the ball, punts and crosses.

They've been playing that way for so long it seems ingrained in them ...

... I wonder how their players are reacting to a manager trying to change them ...

... doesn't seem to be working.

    Class as always RTB.
Can’t see past a home win for the lads. I think that comeback against Boro twice the other night will be a pivotal moment for the season and we are going to really kick on from here.

    3-0 Sunderland, Wilson/Jobe/Enzo

Havent seen much of Watford, so no idea how they try and play. You have to assume they will sit back deep and not want to give up space in behind?

The interesting thing for us now is Le Fee is really starting to show his clear talent and even if they do sit back he will find gaps for the forwards imo

They've lost 9 games away and have now lost their only realistic CF.

That suggests they'll come for a point and hope for a break ...

... sadly I think it'll be another game when we need to be patient.

Hopefully we'll really quicken things up compared to the Plymouth game when we kept playing it across the back line.

Twenty minutes of that can kill any atmosphere and it did.

We must be due a game where we go 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes and coast it from there.

Or is that not the Sunderland way?

No. If we go 2-0 up we somehow manage to draw!

I expect to win this game and will be thoroughly disappointed if we don't. Watford are bad, their league position is based upon a good start to the season where they over performed but they've reverted to their level recently and I think they'll finish near the relegation places.

I don't think they'll be starting with a natural striker as i'm not sure they have one as Bayo is suspended, it'll probably be Vata up front. Their midfield is their biggest weakness though, lack of real quality and no runners. They allow opposition midfielders to run off them constantly and allow them free runs at the defence. I expect our midfield 3 to dominate the game.

    Would go with;

    Patterson
    Hume Mepham O'Nien Cirkin
    Rigg Neil Jobe
    Roberts Isidor Le Fee

I hope Isidor is fit, seemed to be struggling when he came off on Monday. Was celebrating fine though:emoticon-0140-rofl:

    2-0. Isidor and Jobe.

Massive opportunity to back up Monday with this Saturday Wednesday home double. Two wins here would leave us sitting very pretty!

we are starting to click again,

we get the first goal, and watford will crumble, just need to be 3/4 up so I can relax and not worry about sunderland doing sunderland

Another class thread RTB <applause> , so good I had to read it twice <laugh> and again your team will do me, although I feel a bit sorry for Mayenda but he is a top option to have coming off the bench as is Roberts in truth, so once again I will happily leave the final decisions with RLB. <ok> .
Boro, Watford, and Luton is not an easy run in 9 days as been mentioned previously, but maybe that suits us better, who knows. OaU.
