Hume took way too long to move the ball yesterday. I don't have a problem if he's been asked to 'hold the line' but he needs to give the ball to the midfield much quicker. When we did that you could see Watford losing their shape.
I think we can excuse him when he's being asked to play out of position in his 1st full season as a pro at this level. Think he's been the breakthrough player this season and one of the 1st names on the team sheet. Think as a team our passing was off yesterday - gave the ball away too many times and tried too many hollywood balls. No shame in that, the fact we are still in contention is unbelievable.
I absolutely love Hume and think he's nailed on to develop into a replacement for Evans. But he just needs, in the position he's playing, to give the ball to the midfield as quickly as possible.
In terms of young player of the season, obviously it went to Amad but Hume was a clear second imo. Absolutely made the position his own when he got it and was quality. Really solid and consistent performances. **** tache though.
Young Keeper of the year Young Right Back of the Year Young right Centre Back of the Year.......... You get the picture
Young player of the season who is an absolute baller... Young player who scores a worldy Young player who is both of the above Young player who is a future England no1 Young player who is a future England LB.... Young left winger who cuts inside and finds the top corner but you can't stop it....
No way I would drop Neil, he's been part of the foundation this season has been built on. If his form has dropped off a bit it's probably because he's slightly burnt out from playing every game but he's got a week and a bit to recharge and focus on the last game.
Ive watched roberts goal about thirty times today, literally right in the top corner. I was right behind it and it never looked like it was going in, thought it was miles over and wide, still can’t work out how it went in
Thank heavens someone else noticed it! I kept glancing at the referee, thinking play had stopped. He'd obviously been asked to play that way because he's usually keen to get himself upfield.

Interestingly just what we were talking about after the game. Now I'm a massive Stewart fan and would love him to stay. When he got injured couldn't really see how we would cope. But we have moved on massively since his injury. Yes we are desperate for a centre forward but kids have stepped up we have developed a fabulously entertaining style of play. Just lacking a few key elements. I'm now thinking if he wants to stay fine but if not I would trust our recruitment to fill the gap. Crunch time for Stewart. This is the chance of a lifetime for him to be part of this exciting project and play in front of 45k fans. Or does he want to go for the money and be doing a lap of honour at Stoke next season
