Absolutely, few and far between though mate. His goal contributions is the reason why he was once a 10m signing for City back in the day and why he ended up signing for us in League 1.

He has all the ability in the world but when it counts he always disapoints in putting the ball in the back of the net. If he could he'd be back in the Prem.

I know but he's capable and likes the big games ...

... he'll play so I'll just accept that and hope he fires in another beauty.

I just can't bring myself to worry about these things mate ...

... no one backed Embleton to score the winning goal at Wembley except his mam <laugh>

I haven’t seen the offside for the goal but it looked tight, also wasn’t convinced about the free kick for their goal or the repeated stoppages when we had momentum .Despite that the ref humiliated their keeper which was a beautiful moment.

I hope he's nowhere near the squad personally.

    That's a hope that's wasted mate, he'll be there.

I'd rather hope for something realistic like Enzo scoring the perfect hat trick at Wembley.

Lol. I just think all our weaknesses are being exposed right now and to me its zero goals from the flanks which also puts even more pressure on our striker.
Mundle makes so much of a difference to us when hes fit. Hes literally the only winger we have that can create and score goals

I hope this is a directive from above ... it's been getting ridiculous and totally blatant.

Definitely off. I wish he’d watch his line more, so frustrating at times

Think it's more likely Patto scores a last minute winner than Roberts scoring:emoticon-0140-rofl:

Weirdly I had a dream that he scored with a header in front of the Sunderland section at Wembley.

Mepham towering header in the last minute, signs the contract in the changing rooms straight after

ha I see it the other way. A playoff final is exactly the kind of game he’ll fluke some goal to to live off for another season :D

If Roberts scores the winner in the playoff final I will be getting his name tattooed on me, posters on the bedroom wall and naming my first born Patrick

My biggest worry is thinking up a good enough excuse to fly home from work for the final I’m open to suggestions

Wow, fair enough but I couldn't disagree more. Doesn’t get anywhere near the squads of any of the other promotion challengers

Totally agree we have the time to prepare properly and to ensure all our players are firing. I think some people want us at 100 miles per hour every minute of every game which is not feasible.
My only worry TBH is that we have been concentrating on the defensive setup recently and my worry is more about if we can switch to a more attacking high press quickly when required.
We did that very well at the beginning of the season but I have not seen much of that lately.
However teams that concede less goals tend to do well in the playoffs so maybe we are better positioned than most believe.
