Not making me look silly cos I said back him. The lad will be inconsistent but it’s clear he will come good
he invoked the “What is he doing !” Shout from me when he nearly got caught dribbling the ball out :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I was gonna say the only dampener is Wilson and ONien on 5 yellows, so a thinner squad for the weekend.

but Mayenda through the middle can work very well. I hope he can go in to score more. We have enough in defence.

aleksic back in the middle for Pompey.

anyway, who knows. **** it. Just enjoy the win & sticking to the leading pack.

Hopefully we can move from ‘he is ****e’ to ‘he had a ****e game’ in future. The truth is that there’s tonnes of talent throughout our squad and it just needs time and opportunity to learn and develop. It might not always give us the best result but there’s almost not a player in the squad who isn’t capable of being effective at this level.

Think the cut off point for that has already passed so they should be available Sunday. Would like someone else to confirm that mind:emoticon-0140-rofl:

Absolutely outstanding all over the park today. Every one of them did their job against a very good side. Absolutely buzzing

The Stoke game at home was the cut off. There are no suspensions until 10 yellows now

EFL suspension rules state that any player who accumulates five yellow cards before game-week 19 must serve a one-game ban. 10 yellows before match-week 32 will result in a two-match ban while 15 bookings before a team's 38th match will mean a three-match suspension.

Don't see why not now it's been tried and proved to be effective. Both Isidor and Mayenda had their best games for some time and we created loads of chances. I think we'll be looking to get those two on the pitch as much as possible.

Also if he continues like he was tonight (and the last few weeks) I’m not sure there’s a better 6 in the league than Dan Neil

Do this and we get promoted.

Our style of play really is rock and roll football, we move as a unit and run a trigger and are constantly looking to nip in and win balls played through the lines and neil and co did this numerous time tonight. We limit teams really to balls in the box and our 2nd and 3rd ball tonight was a bit heart and mouth at times but when you zoom out and look it at our chances blew there's away.

More composure and quality and we score 3,4,5. More depth and be get promoted. Facts.

Interesting that RLB has mentioned that, apparently Mepham talked about it on Sky too(?).

The way some of our (mainly online) fans, including the usual suspects on here, have gone on about Mayenda over the last couple of weeks has been awful, not to mention completely and utterly unjustified.

The fact the coach, the players and therefore Mayenda himself were aware of the stick he’d been getting makes that performance tonight even more impressive, some serious mental resilience from a lad of only 19.

It works against teams that come at us and we can counter. It Won’t work against teams that sit deep. It’s a neat trick to have and to change the shape during games but all teams have to do is sit deep and it won’t be as effective.

RLB said as much in his presser after the game that it won’t be our main base tactic
