Got home last night. Internet not good on phone last couple of days. Need to read through about 50 pages or so <laugh>.
Managed to watch the match in a different pub to the one planned with a Newcastle fan who wanted us to win, his partner a Boro fan who didnt want us to win, another Sunderland lad, 2 x Sheff U fans and a Sheff Wed fan who was also quite pleased we won <laugh>.

Then being fairly happy with the result forgot to pay my bar bill. I did however return 10 mins later when I thought on. Then decided to have another.

It probably has been mentioned but please no more RLB in a collar & tie <laugh>. Looked so uncomfortable.

Yes very briefly but all you get to see is a fleeting glimpse of my bald head <laugh><laugh>
I was in front and to your right and think I was the only guy there wearing the black inclusivity top.

One thing that gets mentioned a lot about Speakman is how arrogant he appartently is but one thing was noticeable on Saturday - he kept such a low profile after we won

There was no this is all down to me type attitude, which would have been easy to do with the amount of abuse he's had (all the speaksh*te stuff on twitter). That to me tells me everything i need to know about the man, he is focused on the job and seems to be the type that doesn't want to stand still as he knows there lots to keep doing

I really liked the look of Sydie Peck, he seems to have a bit of everything you need in a midfielder.

Is it worth considering a cheeky bid for him. He is a Prem player in my opinion.

Not imo, obviously wouldn't be against it but I have concerns about his defensive work

Has he made mistakes? Yes. But it would be ridiculous (and no fun) to see linear improvement. The job he’s done is absolutely outstanding. I have never seen a Sunderland like this in my lifetime. We have a plan, and my god is it working. Thank you, Speakman.

Just going to throw my hat into the Hamer debate here. I don't want us to go anywhere near a player who has to be brought off most games because he's knackered after 60mins in the Championship considering it's even harder in the PL. We need to raise the physicality levels of the squad, not lower them.

Just some thoughts watching from afar. Within the first minute with the Patto save and Luke going off it took us a bit longer to grow into the game longer than I initially thought as ‘underdogs’.
There goal was a good one fairs do’s. The VAR decision was correct for two reasons. Interference in line of sight and blatantly offside as well. I do believe even if it stood we would have won from that point in any case. Till the end right?
The Cirkin one where the lad got through was a tough one for him. No blame apportioned to him from me. When RLB brought on Wilson and Tommy I thought he we go ‘balls for glory’. Something inside me told me something special was coming. Understatement right?
Well RLB you deserve the very best of praise. All that sh*t you took for the last 5 games to me you had the right to start your press conference with this and say to all the nay sayers’go and f*ck yourself and let me do my job I’m paid for’.
Thoughts for next season keep the nucleus of the squad and the model. The talent we have we can get that 4th bottom place or higher than the club can grow form there. HTL!!!

    Spot on

Got to be about pace and power, I like Hamer - he can be a match winner if used right but his out of possession stuff is always shocking

While he impressed in the PL going forward last time he was a liability defensively

I think he will go abroad

This is it, this is the post.

Its one thing laughing at and ridiculing the out of date takes, which I love to see! But when people are just stating their gripes, like Sheff Utd being better in that first half, I cant see the issue.

    But...we are only human.

I'm one of them. I wouldnt have even had him in any squad as soon as he had signed. Thank fk I have no influence <laugh> and more than happy to hold my hands up and say boy was I wrong.
Pleased the manager and team stuck with him. Has definitely left SAFC in the best way possible.

It's easy to forget how much **** he had to put up with from some of our own fans when he first started.

Nicked from X but the guy is 100% spot on about Roberts pass for the goal.

"That pass to Mayenda was like Moses parting the Red Sea. It was biblical.
