Good grief - just got the green light for London visit - both my boys down there- youngest came back last weekend from a stag do in San Sebastian with raging meningitis - elder brother met him off the plane and straight to West Middlesex Hospital Sunday - mega cocktail of meds and improving Sunday evening - flippin nick of time - OK now, just a bit groggy - wonderful prompt & effective response from the medical team. Eldest & family moved in with inlaws in Esher for big rebuild of back half of home in Wimbledon so no room at the inn - until there was!

Emotional since last Friday but didn't see this coming. And then Tuesday night and Big Dan, by which time he was wanting to be home. He'd just run the flippin Manchester marathon the other week in support of the Frances Children's Hospice. Mental, if we are going to explore the metaphysical aspect a tad.

So, whatever will be will be... off predawn now for breakfast in Surrey, quality time with first grandson (Max nudging 6mths - Kevin Ball frame) and lunch with his cousin Ted ( 3 weeks behind but clearly staking a claim for the Dan Ballard slot (bigger than a salmon) in these early days) - teddy bears scarves adjusted and positioned neatly. Pending all this civilised family time we slope off to the local where bookings have been placed for the match, bonding, drinking and general carousing - whatever will be will be Que sera sera..
