When the players were getting the trophy the coaches and background staff all stood in a line on the pitch, arms around each other looking up at the presentation.

Has anyone seen/got any professional looking photos or footage of this please?

Brilliant, thanks for posting <ok> The looks on their players faces man, I reckon they knew they had nothing left and we would go on to win.

It vindicates, what looks like a brilliant approach by Le Bris to treat the last month of the season like a preseason and get the players ready for a three game comp.

Yorkshire people love to portray themselves as tough gritty characters who talk straight and call a spade a spade …

… looking at their forum you’d think they were all going through puberty and suffering hormonal depression.

Apparently the disallowed goal made the players so upset they couldn’t get through the game <wah>

Would be a canny nickname, aye. The way I understand it is it's a celebratory pose by wrestler Randy Orton who Mayenda is a big fan of.

The viper is randy ortons nickname i think so that's why they were calling mayenda it - after the interview where he said he'd want to meet him

That's what I remember. Donald was supposed to be part of and the front man of an international consortium with Spanish backing providing the bulk of the money to take over the club. Then it was just him and Methven with Sartori joining months later, no Spanish involvement at all. There was never any explanation about what happened, just rumours.

Donald having his heart in the right place and him also being greedy, incompetent and massively out of his depth aren't mutually exclusive. I can believe he tried to do some things right, but that doesn't excuse him from the way he screwed up and caused mayhem with us later. And I can't forgive his disingenuousness, the parachute payments, the alleged "kidnapping" of his daughter or the FFP takeover breakdown because the truth was uncomfortable.

I remember talking to Michael Ganley early on and him saying then he did think much of them and that they had no money. Theresa from the Colliery Tavern said to me that Donald was always a gentleman with her, but she didn't like Methven.

Donald gambled everything on us getting back into the Championship at the first attempt and did things in the cheap (because he didn't have the money to run us properly), but didn't have a plan b in case it didn't happen. Once we failed to go up, he was screwed. Doing stuff here the same way as you did it at Eastleigh is never going to work, because of the differences in size, history, standards and expectation between us. Hill and Cotton might have been ok doing their jobs at non league level, but were massively out of their depth here. The penny pinching, lack of investment and selling the family silver from the academy to pay the bills could have seriously crippled us, especially if it had carried on much longer.

I think, because I'm still basking in last weeks result, I can afford to be generous and magnamamous. Donald might be a nice bloke as a person and he did do a good thing with George Foster, for which he deserves credit. But beyond that he's history and barely worth another thought.

The more I watch it, the more I am impressed with the move. That's a tremendous goal, from Ballard's header to everything in between. The ridiculous pass from Roberts and the class finish.

Sure I’m like most on here, but find myself watching the highlights at least once per day. Still pinching myself. What a day, cannot imagine how it felt for those who travelled.

Those patto saves, what an absolute hero.

Sat and scrolled through the 2700 odd comments on the BBC website at the end of their match report and three things stood out.
    1. Wilder seems to be despised throughout the footballing fans community.
    2. Fans from so many different clubs and leagues are genuinely pleased to see us back in the Prem.
    3. The vast majority give us no chance of staying up.

I have a feeling I heard something like it sang at Upton Park years ago.

It seems to be the kind of thing that would come from an advert ... just guessing though.

One thing I haven't seen really mentioned about Mayenda's goal and I'm absolutely baffled because to me it is absolutely elite - his first touch.

To take the ball in stride, running at full pace, with the perfect deft touch with the outside of his left boot, without skipping a beat, and place it in the perfect position to take the shot with his second touch... it honestly blows my mind every time I watch it.

He is going to be a serious, serious player imo. I honestly think he's already good enough to be our first choice striker in the Prem, and will only get better.

Just find it weird and there's no expectation where it comes from haha I mean I bet there's not many championship defenders that don't know the big man's name tbf.
