I'm pleased they've admitted it is their fault and not blamed a third party. And I'm pleased the board of directors have demanded an investigation into how it happened

They you go. They have admitted that it is the fault of the club and a 'SERUOUS ERROR IN JUDGEMENT'

So yes, they did deserve the backlash.

That positive piece of PR I messaged you about (if it comes off) has been torpedoed by this

Give it a rest man, the club have issued a statement which is what you wanted.

What do you want next, a hand delivered personal apology?

No the P45 on who signed it off. Also, some of the people who were a little unhinged saying the club knew nothing of it, and it was photoshopped need to have a strong look in the mirror.

Still not been told it's off, just suggesting the goodwill the club would get for it has been cancelled out by today's nonsense.

Good statement in my opinion, like that they are taking ownership to understand how its happened

Lets move on now n focus on the game itself

Sure theres a thread about off field operations so if folk want to discuss the mess that is in then discuss it there

Depends who "the club" is. I'm willing to believe KLD didn't know the nitty gritty about what signs were being put up in the BCB. But somebody at the club (obviously) knew and (obviously) either agreed to it or at the very least was happy enough to let it happen.

Sadly, the most likely supporters to attack our club are our own supporters ...

... thanks fck I wasn't going to Cardiff, West Ham and Millwall, in the 70's, with people like this.

They knew about it. All the investigation will be is finding soemone to carry the can and take early leave.

My money will be on Davison.

Get off your high horse mate. I said it might be photoshopped, doesnt mean i wasnt unhappy about it

Once again if folk dont have the same opinion as you, you till them to look in the mirror. Get a grip!! You were demanding our best owner in yrs to do one earlier

He is clearly going to own this n get it sorted, hats off to him for that

But don't you dare tell me or others to look in the mirror or that we are unhinged

I'm happy enough that they've acted quickly and taken responsibility. My biggest fear was the signage being left in place for the game regardless of fans warranted reaction. This is the best outcome for me signs down, club apologise and promises a review. Sorted.

Mate some were saying contractors did it all without the club knowing. Haway man.

They knew. Fans kicked off, they took it down. Statement.

Here's me thinking that this was supposed to be the match thread. Haven't we got 2 other threads discussing the black cats bar stuff?

You can't just sack someone without a proper review. Employnent law wouldnt allow. Yes football is an emotional game but proper procedures have to be followed.Someone has made a massive error here and hopefully it will come out in wash. And they Will pay price

I just want to re-iterate the point that "the club" doesn't necesarilly mean KLD. He won't be involved in signing off stuff like this. Not a chance. He will have known at a high level that the BCB would be getting signage etc covered up, but won't necesarilly have known the content of those signs.

But anyway, it's down. Statement made, just wait until someone carries the can.

The club will make serious errors of judgement from time to time. We shouldn't avoid fact or reality and try to defend the indefensible.

Statement confirms this and fair play for them doing that.

Hope it brings some changes to the competence on the off the field matters.
