I swear the foghorn going off was the SOL doing a call to arms. Came on just as I was leaving on the morning dog walk.
Suns out, perfect day for some serious attacking football. Praying the lads express themselves and batter QPR from the first minute
I'm half hoping Colback and the kid on loan from the mags spice things up a little. Desperate for an atmosphere and a win today.
I think we’ll get a good atmosphere today. It’s dawning on everyone that this is real, we're in the playoffs for the Premier League … … and the season is coming to an end. It looks like a bigger crowd than usual, despite the kickoff time. Ha’way Sunderland, now’s the time to get serious!
Anyone up for a pre match pint? @Smug in Boots sure you said you were getting into Sunderland for about 11:00? Will drop you a text and plan on getting there the same time
11.01 into Sunderland so the Museum for 11.15, nice enough to stand outside today. @safcfansofaraway is driving up from Dorset today and will be there … … I’ve been a-flipping and a-flopping all week but decided to show my support instead of watching all the playoff teams scrapping for the chance to join us.
Hanging out ones arse a tad today after a rowdy night singing at a Creedence tribute gig but was up and at em at 06:00 hawaayyyy you red and white wizards !
I was up with the larks this morning and excited for the match and I’m not even going!! (On call again!) heading to the sheepfolds to watch it tho. I was thinking last night that this time next week it’ll be the first leg which we secured weeks ago and we don’t even know who we’re playing - and neither do they!!! I don’t see this as a nothing game, far from it! We need to win and go into next week with confidence high. Enjoy the match lads and lasses!!!
Lovely morning here in Derbyshire. On the allotment already, working up a thirst for it. Would have liked to have gone but no can do. Give them a massive roar from me lads. Down here there is a whole different sort of atmosphere. Made my two lads bacon and eggs earlier as they got ready for their survival game against Stoke. Pride Park will be electric today for sure - that is one of the modern grounds still produces an atmosphere. Hope they do it.
Hoping for some huge boost in positivity today, we have qualified for the play offs with umpteen games to go, so the early season expectations have been slightly smashed to be fair. But the feeling is despair, I don't think any fans can be lambasted for feeling aggrieved at our current situation of having to look forward to the play offs with no momentum and some terrible form, the blame lying solely with Le Bris. Id be shocked if we ended up losing today before going on to demolish Bristol City. But stranger things n' all that.
