Yes tomorrow is very important, both from a players perspective in finding some form and connections with eachother, as well as getting the fans on board and optimistic. Still worth saying that a bad result doesn't mean the end of the world though. We need to be behind the players in the playoffs no matter what happens tomorrow. Clearly a win will be hugely beneficial all round, but the playoffs start afresh.
Important game this. Don't care about the result but I definitely care about the performance. I'd rather play well and draw than play poor and win tomorrow, think it would be better preparation. ELF Mayenda Watson Jobe Neil Rigg Cirkin O'Nien Mepham Hume Patterson 2-0. ELF and Hume.
I was going to say the same about being more focused on performance than result... but I stopped myself. Because I think its important we score from open play tomorrow, and I also think its important we keep a clean sheet. So for me it "needs" to be a win. (I know it doesn't NEED)
My feelings on this game are that it may well seem like a dead rubber to most and I truly believe that the last few games we have lacked the intensity required to win them. There are a number of factors for this most of which have been covered on these pages. I also think we may well be the coiled spring in the play offs and it will probably only take one moment to ignite us, that could happen tomorrow or in the next game. I just hoe it happens soon. I want to see that team from the start of the season full of grit determination and exuberance, intensity and skill which had most of the championship drooling, that team is still here and just waiting to pounce again.
The 1st 20 mins will be critical to our promotion push. If they take the lead we might struggle a bit.
I'm not even thinking about going behind....our promotion push starts tomorrow with a demolition of QPR.
Hoping for a full stadium, great atmosphere, great game and a good win. 3-0 to the lads. Am I asking for too much?
RLB: Portugal was good - nice training camp, we did get caught with the power cut but not affected too much Oxford - you have to be at your best level - or you can lose The training camp was really good - we want to build something new Mundle will train with us on Sunday. 2 up top - we have many options available, we will see Ballard is back Huggins trained really well in Portugal We earned this opportunity we are really focused on our game and are excited by this last stage We are close to our best setup, it is a weird period but be are ready I am not worried, this league is difficult, the margins are small from winning and losing For the young squad, they can become complacent after a few wins but now they are hurting after the defeats I learnt a lot and the challenge was interesting but we want more It was good for the players to get to know each other better - it was all positive The main focus is the here and now
