Oh well never mind. Was dreading getting battered week in, week out next season anyway. At least we get some schadenfreude with Luton going down <laugh>

We’ve done it to plenty bottom half sides this season. It’s the main worry for me. This set of players suit a playstyle that plays positive attack minded football

    Think that's our only shot.

In fairness Isidor is also minimal effort in most of his cameos, but he acts like he loves the fans.

    I don’t get this,
If Dodds was as good as everyone says. Why has he failed miserably at Wycombe?
They were second and looked dead cert for second place.

    they are 4th…

    the fans HATE him.

Obviously anything could happen but I really wanted some confidence from today.

I’m not looking forward to a season in the champ where we lose a lot of players

Being an assistant is completely different to being the main man. When you're just a coach you can have close connections to the players and just concentrate on coaching, the fact our players publicly loved Dodds shows that he is good at connecting with players.

Being the manager (or head coach) is completely different. You can't really develop close connections as you need to be able to drop players at times and you have to deal with loads of other stuff outside of coaching.

A lot of people are only cut out for one or the other.

Probably the same reason as Steve McLaren was once a great coach for Man Utd but shyte at being a manager. Same with many other top coaches that try their luck at managing

Same as Carlos Queiroz and Brian Kidd who were assistant managers at Man Utd but flopped once being the main man

Because sometimes people don't make it as a head coach or manager, but can prove vital as part of a coaching/manager set up.

I think this is what we might get to, but I think on Friday he will start as today and switch to the way we finished today if it doesn't go well.

I don't share all the doom and gloom. It will be a tough match for Coventry.

Positives: Ballard was good and looked fit, and I think will be back in for Mepham as soon as they think they can. Cirkin was good once he got going and looked fit and will come straight back in. No red cards or injuries. Coventry can't play for the 0-0 on Friday so we should see a bit more space.

    Jobe needs to play well.

IMHO, If you continue with D Neil in CM we are wasting a shirt.
His head has gone, i don't know where it has gone, but it's not on his shoulders.
I said if they score early, we would struggle, and boy did we, wow.
NOW THAT is just my opinion.
Oh and BTW, ELF is wasted out wide. he needs to play on the front line.

It's a different job as we have found out, he's a very good coach but a **** manager. He needs to stick to what he does best

I bloody well hope so but you wouldn't think that by looking at his forum, hopefully the silent majority turn up and bring the noise.:1980_boogie_down:
I'm planning on going to both games <cheers>
