my only explanation would be it’s managing minutes and the fact Mayenda has played more than Isidor, and either wanting to keep fresh legs on or wanting to keep both strikers happy Clear as day on performance levels Mayenda should have stayed on
That was the big error IMO. He tends to favour Isidor in that situation but it certainly should have been Mayenda staying on. Weirdly I don't think it was an absolute stinker of a performance. We created a few really good chances. Just were a bit disjointed with the 4-4-2 and a couple of players looking rusty. Hopefully tonight will help us in the long run. Shame we didn't close up given how results went, but I guess we didn't lose more ground.
Would've taken 7 points from Cardiff, Preston and Coventry if someone offered me that last week. Means Saturday needs to be a win if want any chance of catching the automatics
Don't know if its already been said. I believe RLB got team selection wrong today. Watson was never ready to start and do 60mins. Mundle should have started and Watson for 30. Bit concerned on Isidor, looked totally uninterested. Hoping he dosen't think that he is better than Mayenda and should have started last 2 games. I think he should have gone off rather than Mayenda. Mayenda was showing interest and looking at scoring. If Isidor has an attitude problem it'll be interesting how RLB handles it
He took Mayenda off and Isidor never had another kick. We could all see it was the wrong decision, worrying that Le Bris couldn't.
Well that was flat as a pancake from us did we deserve a draw yes but to win it no. Is RLB just trying different formations before the playoffs. For me Mundle should have started Watson is not upto pace yet tonight he had the touch of a rapist. Roberts was playing inside for most of the game until substitutions were made. It all seemed disjointed as if they hadn't played together. And yet again all three above us have been let off the hook. So the playoffs it is.
The 100 year old nail out the back has less rust! Was surprised at how miles away he was. Mundle immediately changed the dynamic of the game.
Exactly. I thought tonight was poor, disappointed we didn’t show more against a side with nothing to play for.
I’d end the 4-4-2 experiment and personally have given Aleksic a go as the second “striker”. Feels like now was the time to experiment with that. As I said earlier, I think that’s the role Le Fee will end up in for the playoffs. Which is quite a delicious thought tbh
Mate he didn't even get a minute again tonight. Really strange why he doesn't get a sniff of the grass
