I have four kids older than Ba. It’s mortifying too boo such a young lad ffs. Give him support and we will have one hell of a player there in time.

Never heard any booing when Ba came on, if there was it’s just unacceptable and sad,in fact booing a Safc player when he’s playing doesn’t get any worse
Any body else notice the bollocking O’nien was going Pembele, he was going mental.Second half i thought we missed Roberts, his ability to carry and drag teams backwards was telling plus he makes teams wary of committing men forward

I'd only boo players like Rodwell .
If we're losing 6-0 to Bolton it's usually more than the players fault.
We haven't anyone like that now. In fact far from it.
I know these players are on decent money but it must be an upheaval for young lads especially from abroad.

French players especially seem to take time to settle, possibly the lack of snails and frogs legs <laugh>

1050865"]Surely youve spent loads of money to support the side? Not to turn up just to boo players before theyve even got on

Its embarrassing to think just that we have paid good money that we can boo one of our own players before they even get on the pitch

As i said i get it more if they are unhappy with his performance or workrate but not before he came on

What were they hoping to achieve by booing the lad?[/QUOTE]

Repeating myself, but I dont agree with booing the players, I just think those who might choose too aren't automatically an abomination. In fact, some of them are rock solid supporters who deserve full respect.

Ba has had more of an impact than Roberts this season yet nobody boo's him. It's absolutely pathetic.

But you agree it's not a good thing to boo the lad coming on right ?

Then if as you say supporters deserve full respect surely the players deserve the same respect by those same supporters that are booing

Aye, and they 100% get it from the vast majority of fans. I just completely, passionately disagree with the idea that fans who have vocalized their disagreement with something... whatever that might be..."shouldn't be allowed in the ground again" which is the view being espoused by some in here.

If you agree that players shouldn't be booed then surely you agree that the ones booing are open to abuse ? :emoticon-0148-yes:

Yes mate, I do agree with that. But i personally don't have a problem with a paid up fan who chooses to boo whoever, particularly when I know they really love the club. I might think, mate you're being daft, and even tell them that...but the scale of abuse on here is what I have a problem with. I'll give you a broadly similar example...I love Luke O Nein...but sometimes he's ****e. As a fan, I think its okay to say he's been ****e, we could get a better player, I genuinely believe that...however, I'm often reticent to say that because the 'I told you so' brigade are just waiting for the next time he makes a basic interception to stick a comment on along the lines of "09 being typically ****e with that last ditch interception"! it's stiflingly and not conducive to real debate, likewise I find the denigrating of our own fans a problem. The self loathing is the bigger issue to me.

You've missed the point all night, mate. He doesn't deserve to be boo'd.

Seems baffling to me that you think it's fine and totally normal for people to slate O'Nien when he's objectively a good player for us, but seem to take offence when people redress the balance by pointing out some of the good work he does.

Really weird way of looking at things imo.

So why on earth are you defending the people who boo him? Yeah they may be entitled to do whatever they want after paying but for me I would rather they never came to games ever again. It's people like the pricks who boo our players who drive me away from the club.

Sorry mate, but this isnt true, iny opinion. Roberts is consistently carrying us up the field, making key passes, winning free kicks in key positions and making the the so called second assist. I respect your opinion, but Roberts has contributed more, if you trust your eye and the stats.

Fine to slate him? when did I say that...i said if hes been ****e its fine to say hes been ****e. No offense taken at all when he does well. Why would I take offense to that? I want him to do well...I just think the folk who immediately jump on to say "where are the O'Nein haters now" whenever he does anything remotely decent, are the real problem.
