Very true mate, just treasure this time with my dad and try to make.him.as.comforable as possible so he doesn't give up coming as he enjoys it
My Dad got his first season ticket after the Play Off Final. He'd always worked in retail so never had a Saturday off until he retired. He's not that well off, so I help him with his payments. I do wonder how long he'll keep it up as he's missed a few games this season for one reason or another. I'll probably just pay for his seat regardless and if he only makes it to 5 or 6 games a year then so be it. I'm aware of the borrowed time we are all on
First thing me and dad did when we both moved home was get a season card, our third season at home and despite him turning 79 this year he still comes every home game and loves the pre match chat with the branch we joined and he's made some good friends through it. It's part of the match now, hearing dad talk about games he saw a young lad and the players he has seen, makes me smile when some of the youngsters in our branch ask about legends and he reels of seeing Hurley, Clough etc
My mrs has just bought her mam some battery powered hand warmers off Temu. Think they only cost a tenner. Might be an option for you?
Looking at getting him a heated vest and a coat like @ nads suggested, that and hard warmers should do him OK
I’ve asked the mrs to get me one. I’m doing cricket bat repair work in the garage and it’s bloody cold in there at the minute!
I do the same as him mind on -10 wind chill days. Mountain biking clobber under my clothes and wool socks.
If pink sequined leggings were the warmest things to wear under your jeans on matchdays I'd wear them mate, no judgement here.
Both them Germans were ****e mind but it was the start of the policy of signing young players. Long may it continue.
Cirkin and Neil are considerably better players today as well though. Significant improvements have been made it has to be said TBF.
