Even if we did it 85-88. We have done it at 75 mins, v weak oppo. It’s definitely one thing that Reg needs to look at.

It's a curious mind set we have developed, we never seem to keep our foot on the throat of a team.

I'm sure that will be looked at and modified as players come in / get back fit

I agree. I dread to think what ELF was thinking as the boos rang out from the stands. What a welcome on his first home game. <doh>

Didn’t realise how good of a chance this was from the North Stand. When you look at this and the chance they hit the post, maybe we were lucky to come away with a point

    Awful isn't it.

Rigg's family come to games, as do Jobe's ...

... behaviour like that won't count in our favour when contracts are being discussed.

They had much better & more chances than us and should’ve won the game comfortably.

We were terrible, apart from a brief spell after their goal.

We really were awful, and I’m praying it was just a blip and RLB sorts it out.

This bringing on all of our defenders when we’re winning MUST STOP!!!

    Bart.

PS Boro will beat us, as they usually do.

Wilson looked as gutted as we were yesterday. I think the squad will be very determined to put things right

I was just talking about him to a lad who goes to every game, home and away.

He was saying anyone can kiss the badge after scoring a goal but he genuinely loves the fans ...

... he's right, in my opinion, the way he celebrates with the away support is wonderful.

Really hope we sign him on a permanent deal. He just gets it and is a cracking forward

Spot on that. Against the “better” teams, I honestly think we do it better as their play is much more designed and predictable. Makes it easier to defend. But yesterday was a crazy move. When a team is literally just lumping, and pumping balls in, we invited pressure when we didn’t need to!

I can understand it against 2 or 3 of the better teams in this league or in the Premier league where teams are more technical and extra defenders basically fill spaces and block passing lines but when teams just bring 2 or 3 big lads on and wanna lump the ball into our box it just leads to extra chaos.

It also means we have less players challenging the opposition 30 yards from our goal and makes it easy for them to put the ball in our box.

In short less technically gifted teams want the carnage created by a packed penalty area and bringing on extra defenders simply allows this to happen. Take yesterday they put 3 or 4 crosses into our box in the space of 30 seconds and from the final one the ball dropped perfect for their full back to slam it in.

If I can see this I'd expect a professional football coach to also be able to work it out.

I'll add I'm in full support of RLB and what we have done this season but we really need to stop causing late carnage mainly by our own actions.

After reflecting on this game over the last couple of days I think RLB got his selections and tactics wrong (he has not made many bad decisions this year).
Samed on his home full debut was a bit reserved and seemed to play the safe and easier pass which meant we played at a very sedate pace especially first half and this suited Plymouth. Dan Neil was moved further forward but this really cramped the space where Jobe normally operates and again had the effect of us slowing through the midfield third. It gave the impression of a slow and disjointed performance (which it was).
The only 2 players I thought were good were Trai and Luke (Wilson tried but the service into him was not great) but the rest were dissapointing, was this down to tactics or shape change I am not sure but hopefully we can find a spark from somewhere.
RLB rotated his squad but on this occasion it did not quite work but on the plus side I think he will have learned that and maybe will have seen we are better defensively when we are on the front foot.

just his normal output, its not enough. For Amad read Hume against Plymouth and other games before that Rigg.

I honestly think our two worst performances have ended with a draw, vs Preston and now Plymouth.

Having calmed down and watched the 90 minutes, I still think the big mistake was the starting eleven , we needed Wilson and Mayenda as the two up front with some back up from midfield to pressurize theid defence, there was very little of this first half. We weren't that far away from picking up the 3 points tbh fine margins in this league are the norm, as this game proved. One thing is certain it wont get any easier for any of the top 4 as the season progresses .

Not sure anyone can argue that! Both very poor tactically and player wise. I rec,in 6 (at least) were way below par on Saturday. Complacency maybe?? Hope not

Often the hardest games, when you're expected to win. Getting the mentality and tempo right.
