But does Speakman ACTUALLY expect this squad to finish in the top 2? Or is he reacting to how the season is progressing? I don't know do you or Bob?

**** me, we're 4th in the league on the coat tails of 3 clubs with premier league money burning a hole in their pockets and people are still throwing grenades at the club!

If we don't go up automatically, we've got 3 matches at the most to try to get promoted. Lets just see where we are come May

Bob doesn't like KS, we had a poor result yesterday so not surprised there's a dig at KS/the club

    Happens all the time

I totally agree with you on that.
However, at the start of this window i said we will not buy in what the fans hope for, we have 5 days left to make an impact in the window, that's just to get RLB what he asked for.
I know loads on here, and last night in the town, think the club will buy to get us up, IMHO, we will not. not top 2 anyhow, playoffs yes, but auto i don't think so.
    NOW ITS JUST AN OPINION.

It's called 'putting on a brave face' imo Bob.

We should definitely be confident and assured, in all things, to attract the likes of Le Fée, Jobe, etc.

PL clubs, looking to loan us their hot prospects, need to know we're sure of our coaches, facilities, medical staff, etc.

Having a bit of swagger can turn a decent player into something more ...

... same applies to clubs as far as I'm concerned.

We have a huge amount to be proud of.

Glad to hear it. I think we're doing exceptionally. Yes yesterday was **** and believe me my office desk felt the full force of how disappointed I was but we're in the mix and personally I think we will get into the top 2 come May. Every fan, opposition as well as SAFC, expected us to fall away (me included) and yet we're still involved.

The club shouldn't sign what the fans want tho, they should sign who they feel can improve us

We don't see training or know how much players are going to cost so we put our trust and faith in the club. Will the club always get it right, no of course not but no team does

We have signed 1 player who should improve our chances. I totally agree with you that we probably need 2 more to really stand a chance of automatic promotion

I always say the time to judge a window is when it closes, we have a week to go so let's see what happens

What fans, including me, hope for isn't realistic mate.

The club will do what the club thinks is best for the club ...

... I don't think anyone would be upset if we make the play-off's.

Personally I'd be happy to get to Wembley even if we lose.

Next season would be better in my opinion.

Don't think any of us expected to be in this position did we, it's been a cracking season so far but I still feel we have gears to go up and we will need to, to get promoted

Some of our passing in the 1st half was a joy to watch, some of our defending was a eyes shut job.
I was told there is 1 in for medical at the spire tomorrow morning.

Agreed, it's so frustrating at times but I suppose that's football for you

I think our passing has been better recently but still lacking that cutting edge and defensively we have the odd lapse in concentration that costs us
