Yeah this, as much as we shouldn’t fear anyone and we can beat anyone the same can be said about us, see Plymouth, this leagues mental anyone can beat anyone, 40 more twists and turns to go yet!
...and that's the joy of watching football, you're never quite sure what you're going to get. Or is that a box of chocolates
He's a top player..I like him a lot. I was a little worried on Saturday, late on in the game,on this near side in front of us, he seemed to be limping a little, but I haven't seen anything about it,so I'm assuming he ran it off. Hope he stays injury free....he's key.
If the new signings become fit and the injuries start to mend there'll be some very good players unable to even make the bench. And if Rusyn, Ba, Hjelde and Aouchiche respond to coaching we could have a squad good enough to field two teams. There are the likes of West Brom, Boro, Blackburn who can challenge, at the moment, but I don't think they have the strength in depth we have ... ... we could end up with players like Alese, Ballard and Rigg on the bench. This could be a very 'interesting possibility' as RLB would say
You must be psychic....I was actually thinking the same thing after I'd read up on the 21's match. It seems to me that, having kept Adil,Ba,Anderson and Bennette at the club, and having added Aleksic, their coaching will be intense and I can't wait to see the progress. With Samed,Poveda and Abdoullahi (sp?) yet to make an appearance, and the likes of young Watson on the fringes, this is looking to be a very talented squad.
He seems to be really getting that footballing arrogance that his brother shows in games. And can only get better with RLB's training I reckon
I thought that as I watched on Saturday. He has that look about him which shows he knows he is better than the opposition. The way he uses his body to protect the ball or trick opponents ia very similar too. There is probably very little he is not going to be able to do as he develops. I really wouldnt be surprised if he and his brother are in the world cup squad when it comes round.
When Jobe arrived he looked just as he was, a little boy, he's somewhat grown into a man in a couple of years. Immense on Saturday and there's no doubt we have a star on our hands....mind he's not the only one
I was watching the Marseille game and Jobe took a ball high in the air, turned and passed in one smooth movement, much smoother than last year . It made me think about the theory of growing teenagers being a bit uncoordinated until their brain and body get in sync. He certainly looks in sync now.
Good post mate. Sometimes we forget that some young lads take a little longer than others to reach some kind of physical maturity.....us humans don't all grow at the same rate......contrast Rooney with Gerrard, for example.
Watching that shows the influence RLB has had on not just Jobe but the whole team. Last season Jobe would have looked to have played a safe ball either backwards or sidewards. This season he is looking to get the ball up the field every time he has it, either a positive pass or he will carry the ball forwards. He also looks stronger and the way he uses that upper body strength to turn past opponents is a sight to behold,
Does anyone know where I can get a programme for the game from. I forgot to buy one for the grandson on Saturday and have just rang the Supporters Association and they have sold out. Tried the club shop on Saturday after the match and they no longer sell them in there for some reason Edit - got one from Ebay
Agree. He's always trying to look forward, and his close control is something else. I was a bit critical of him last season....and I still do think he sometimes wants time to turn...a la Bracewell....but, he's becoming physically strong enough to hold off a challenge...he has tremendous skills. He can be our Rodri!
Well, Jude enjoyed the match on Saturday https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/j...BKaA_aem_Fug8HfIbOXkdex8BoB8wFg&sfnsn=scwspmo
