    Yes I've clarified what you've said ...

... of course the thigh is part of the leg, as is the foot which it absolutely wasn't.

Is a block with the thigh 'an over the top tackle', not in any football match I've ever seen tbh.

Can you tackle someone with your upper thigh?

And where does his right leg wrap around Lath ... it doesn't, that's just plain wrong.

Oh come on, that is not a block with the thigh man. Seriously. He has gone in at pace, gone off his feet so he cant control his body weight or motion. His leg goes over the top of the ball and into the opponent. The rest of his body follows through.

The scissor motion is clear in my opinion too. As his left legs takes the player out his right legs swings around behind the player contacting him again because Trai is off his feet and has little control over his body weight or motion.

It really doesn't, how on earth can his right leg swing round from that position.

Lath is already on his way down because he bottled the challenge and did his weird little jump to make sure it looked worse.

He's already on the ground by the time Hume's leg comes round harmlessly.

Never mind, I guess we all see things in our own way.

It's the referee that counts I suppose.

I have watched it a dozen times or more. Everything about it is wonderful. Not least the celebration. Pure joy from him. That is why our game is the best.

I am going round to see my Dad now. I have been telling him about Rigg for more than a year. Everytime he asks me if Rigg played. Today I am just going to show him the goal. Cant wait to see the look on his face.

Don't want to get into the was it red/yellow debate but watched Lathe reaction before the Ref gave the foul, holding his ankle etc.
On comes the trainer he's in obvious agony, can't weight bare properly as he hobbled off, 30 seconds mandatory wait and he's back on, within a short time he's jumping and heading the ball landing in his 'broken' foot no problem.
He was play acting to try and get Hume sent off, regardless of how the tackle was made. I'm not defending Hume but this sort of play acting has to be stopped.

Quite right, it was deliberate ...

... as was his two footed jump to make the tackle appear worse than it was in my view.

I didn't even realise that he managed to take it round the keeper so clean.

On a totally different subject ... the coaches.

RLB is almost totally focussed on the game and the staff take a back seat most of the time.

However it was noticeable that they were all backslapping at the end and seem to be very comfortable and happy with each other.

One thing that did stand out is that, when the two Sunderland players collided and went down, Mundle was called over by Proctor.

RLB was at his side but Proctor was clearly coaching Mundle and explaining what he wanted.

It was quite a protracted 'lecture' but RLB seemed OK with it.

It may be that it wasn't Proctor's initiative, and he was passing on instructions in quick clear English ...

... whatever the case the head coach seems to have confidence in his coaches which is ideal as the players seem to.

There appears to be no rush to appoint an assistant, perhaps he's already there.

The Hume tackle is 100% a red for me. Definitely got away with that one.

But then Neil shouldn’t have been sent off last season.

I’ve banged on about it loads but Dodds and Proctor (and Barcherini) are excellent coaches, it’s no surprise to me that Le Bris has embraced having them around and clearly values their input.

I still think they’ll bring at least one more in, probably two. Hopefully won’t negatively disrupt the equilibrium in any way.

Well, busy with family after the match, finally got a chance to say how much I am enjoying watching this team this season. Enjoyment is what it's all about and I'm loving it. These players are so exciting to see, committed, skilful, not afraid to express themselves and produce wonderful football and individual skill. We're not the finished article, and we've had a bit of good fortune here and there.....the Burnley header the lad missed,Conway and Lath yesterday had chances which would have made things difficult for us, but that's what happens in this league....we had the last minute sinker at Plymouth, but I always have the feeling we're going to produce something from the talent we have on the pitch. Singling any one of them out is very unfair, and the way these young lads have improved is a credit to RLB and the coaching staff. However,I'm going to mention Mundle.....I love this lad....we were all worried that losing Jack would weaken us...not a bit!
    Can't wait for Watford.

They were vilified for stepping in and trying to manage a bunch of demoralised players ...

... what would people have thought if they'd said 'Nah, not interested' <laugh>

The control to do that meant the ball over ran but his thinking to back heel it is exceptional too.But the control at speed is exquisite.

We were in the concourse and it's really the first time I've noticed it being loud up there with people joining in the singing. Amazing what watching a good team performance will do!

Hume is one yellow away from a suspension. Looking at the upcoming fixtures I hope he gets booked against Watford and misses Derby at home, not to downplay Derby but on paper that is an easier fixture than Leeds and considering we are playing Saturday-Tuesday-Friday that week I think we would've rotated for the Derby game anyway.
