It's mad how much Regis has improved us and how quickly. I always thought we were underperforming and had the quality to be doing better but I didn't think we were capable of this kind of disciplined performance on a regular basis, wouldn't expect such a young side to do it so professionally.

The peak Barcelona period we had under Mowbray was brilliant but it never felt sustainable, this does.

Wondering if any of the statistician types have any data on teams who cede more than 50% possession on average and are still successful? I feel like we're on the cusp on a trend change in football.

Mepham, what an absolute powerhouse of a debut, and that’s half fit.

We were a bit patchy, but we won and that’s all that counts.

The audacity of a 17 year old back heel winner on a (half) derby.

I have to say again mind, could watch Mundle all day. Raw as hell, often comes to nothing, but always a handful and an absolute bastard, loves the rough stuff as well.

I am going to say he will be far better than Jacky in a year or so.

If WBA would kindly calm down that would be smashing.

Mundle looks a better player than Clarke to me. He's stronger, faster, more aggressive, more unpredictable, hits it cleaner and harder.

I say he's more unpredictable but I mean on the ball, in performance terms he's consistent. Great prospect.

Love watching him mate. Like I said love that if someone has a pop at him he goes back at them. He doesn’t care. Can’t believe that free kick stayed out I swear it was in, just seen replay for first time and I’m still convinced it went in <laugh>

Just for fun after six games we are

    p6. Won 5 lost 1 draws 0 for 13 against 4 points 15

    In 2016/17 relegation season

    P6 Won 1 Draws 2 lost 3 for 5 against 10 points 5

And 1998/99 the 105 point season

    P6 Won 4 draws 2 lost 0 for 14 Against 3 points 14

So we are 10 points better off than our worst season in the second tier and 1 point better than the Peter Reid season.

    Puts our start into context.

just watched the extended highlights and i am still sure it goes in, i was off my seat (in the house here) at it 'live' and i am one of those i wait and look at the linesman when we score just to make sure i am not going to make a tw@t of myself just to see it was offside.

No need to compare Clarke and Mundle, two very different types of wingers, Clarke was about standing the defender up creating space and getting the shot/cross off. Mundle is much more direct and uses his pace to find the space. Both great, but different.

Could be a contender for our long term set piece taker, he gets plenty of pace and whip on them. Strikes the ball cleanly. I like the way he puts the ball in from out wide, it's almost like a shot and would only need a glancing touch to go in.

Touch of arrogance as well the way he gave the keeper the eyes today. You need that. Unlucky to only hit the post.

Be weird if people didn't compare them seeing as one replaced the other.

Agreed, We are more pragmatic under RLB. Not knocking Mogga because the football was mesmeric at times, but is it sustainable over 46 games? Possibly not.
What I like is that RLB has more than Plan A

Note on the goal - I think Rigg's backheel was with his right foot. Sublime plus.

I guess I think it's unnecessary to degrade Clarke because he has left the club and we have a competent replacement.

It's also unnecessary to defend Clarke's legacy, nobody is slating him but he's not above criticism. I like the lad but I'm comfortable pointing out his weaknesses. Mundle has more potential for me, of the two he's the one I can see working in the prem.
