Painful way to end it, real kick in the balls. I said to my wife a minute before it happened I wasn't confident we'd see it out but didn't make it any easier to witness.

Consistency will come with age to a certain extent but in his position and type of player he is he will have dips.

Gutting that we didnt take the 3 points but honestly what a team. Missing so many key players, yet we are just a joy to watch.

Defensively we were shocking throughout, dont think any of the back 4 played well today.

Neil is just a class act, yes he still needs to improve his positional play at times but what a player we have on our hands. Ran the show for so much of that game and some of his wee touches were so classy.

Clarke is up there with my fave players, works his socks off and has so much quality - should have made it 5 though.

Thought Amad was poor 1st half but he got better as the game wore on.

Gelhardts best game for us yet.

We seem to score a wonder team goal every month

Thats the playoffs out now but hopefully we got win 4/5 between now and the end of the season. Been a great season and the future is so so bright

That team with the injuries back would be unstoppable.

    Great game
Poor challenge by Ekwah but that Clarke miss ultimately cost us

    Great summary.

Playoffs are now gone, but we've every reason to hold our heads up high.

Get recruitment right this summer and we could have a very special season next year. A centre back, a midfielder with guile and a good striker will transform this team.

Sod it. I am proud as owt of this lot.

Yep players made mistakes today. Gooch, Neil, Hume, ONien, Clarke, Ekwah but haway man. For every mistake they make they do more good by a factor of god knows what. I havent checked back on who posted the Neil comment about positional play and being dropped but I hope you found whoever pissed on your chips mate. If he was perfect he would be playing for Bayern or Man City. If you cant watch a team and see the impact he has you are not watching closely enough.

These lads show me time and again they are exceptional players. These last few weeks they have showed me a character and a heart we havent had in a team since the Reidy days. I love every bloody one of them, mistakes and all. This is a team and a squad and a coaching group and a whole club to be proud of. Lets enjoy every last ounce of commitment and quality they show, week in week out. The flip side we have had enough of.

    Haway the lads.

The Clarke chance was far more difficult than it looked, given the speed he was moving at.

We should have won that 100%. Should have been 5-3 up when Clarke blasted over instead. Can’t complain too much though as he was MOM for me. Hume and Ekwah should be sat on the naughty step at the moment, they have to do better than that.

Very entertaining game to watch. Neither defence covered themselves in glory, but some great attacking play from us today.

I'm going to cut Ekwah some slack. He's still a very young player that hasn't played much first team football. He will learn from that.

I'm very proud of our young team. Jack Clarke was my MOTM

    cheers again RTB...

what the feck can you say about that?

am i right in thinking there was no regular, first choice strikers on the pitch and we have seen 8 goals?

plenty of slips through the game and no one really standing out and somehow, despite half the team being insistant on missing the ball we managed two first half goals to get our noses in front, only to throw it away and give them another...second half was a bit more 'adventurous' but again, no one stood out and neither side seemed to get a good hold on the game, we again managed to get in front but i feel we all knew it was not going to be the final result, when clarke missed his 2nd chance it was just a matter of waiting for them to get that next chance and we all thought we had done enough until the penalty, thought it was a soft one but replays showed it was fair enough.

enjoyed the game though, big difference to the one goal draws/wins recently to see a few goals, no blame on ekwah, when it is down to the final few seconds and they have the ball in our box i think anyone would have made the tackle.

MotM, i think dan neil gets it for me for his first half performance, went a bit quiet and a couple of slightly dodgy moments but no different to others.

Cut them all some slack mate. They graft for us, they play wonderful football for us, and they represent out wonderful club with great ability. Some think they want to make mistakes, but lets be clear they dont. They do their absolute best for us and for the majority of the time they are a credit to us.

Of course he is mate. He has the absolute lot. I have no idea what some people see. They must wait for a mistake and jump all over it. Sad really. Even the commentator said today at his age and nationality is there any better.

Thankfully he loves the club and the fans. He will give us a fair crack of the whip. He will play champions league football though in the future. He is heading towards being the very epitome of the modern day pivot. Thankfully Mowbray and Venus kmow exactly what they have on their hands and are encouraging his learning.

We absolutely need to cut them slack. They make mistakes often because they're bold enough to try and play on the front foot. We don't want them to play safe to minimise errors. We need to encourage them, despite mistakes.

shambols of a defence it was not a striker we need in Jan we needed defenders and Alex neil back, soft as clarts Mowbray, we would have made the play offs no bother had he stopped so why did he walk Clarke the best player but does it make any difference shocking home record and against mid table teams has done us.
