I’ve not given up yet but Christ that was a wasted opportunity. Took our best performing player off for another winger when we were wide open in midfield. Ekwah should have been on before they scored for Roberts who was dreadful.

    Appreciate the comment

Him and Rigg are very exciting prospect and we have about 5 or 6 more with a real chance to break into the 1st team in yrs to come

Poor performance tonight, but it's our 4th game in 11 days with a threadbare team. It's impossible to be at it all the time.

Not sure Mowbray got the selection right tonight. Ekwah should have been on early in the second half. Pritchard and Roberts in the roles they were asked to play were rubbish - partly Mowbrays fault, but I expect those two to perform better.

Putting Lihadji on showed what few options we had. Putting Watson on just seemed daft.

I think we have to win our remaining 3 and rely on favours now, which seems beyond us. Hopefully we'll keep pushing and take it to the final day.

Fair play to Huddersfield, they've gotten result like a top half team since Warnock took over and taken points off a lot of the top teams. They deserved a result tonight.

    Credit to Huddersfield, mind.

They somehow sat back and pressed high tonight. Marked our players very tightly and limited the space we wanted.

    Millwall beaten, get in.

Put it down to a bad day all round but on a positive note, I thought Patterson was brilliant tonight. Claimed everything in the air and commanded his box brilliantly

I was expecting 15th a best it’s been the most stress free season I can remember, play offs would be a bonus but I’m absolutely fine if we don’t get there

Disappointing that. Never seemed to be able to get going.

I did a double take on the team sheet because it looked like Neil was in on his own again. Pritch does lots of things well, but is never a deep lying player. I would bet my piggy bank Warnock so our line and changed tactics to press us as with only one player able to pick it up deep the press will always be on. Maybe Mowbray was hamstrung by niggles because Ekwah not comimg on spoke volumes to me.

Overall though the players were not great across the park. Hard to pick any that were at their usual standard. The formation and tactics may be wrong, but it doesnt explain our flair players being unable to control a ball, or us missing chances, or not being able to deliver a corner into a dangerous area.

All said and done I am not giving up hope. We can win at west brom and then see. Remember, 3 games to go and we are still fighting for the play offs. That in itself is something to be proud of still. But it does hurt tonight, more than the Hull game for me...

    Haway the lads.

    Really poor that tonight.
Dreadful subs from Mowbray. Roberts should have been hooked early in the second half and proceeded to give the goal away.
We were really sloppy throughout the game but even more so second half.
    Patto our MoM.
Really disappointing that we have blown up like this tonight.
Millwall currently beating Brum as well.
Most of the teams around us still to play tomorrow night.
    Sickening.
All that said the kids have given everything.

Yeah I thought at best we would finish 14th. Said to my Dad at the start of the season that I just wanted a boring season - its been anything but that with the football we have played

If people think we've had a bad night, it could be worse - look at Millwall's stats

We have did great but we have to agree that we have had multiple opportunities missed.

From recuritmment to some of the decisions.

Overall, I am buzzing with how we have done. Played some great stuff. But it definitely leaves am opportunity missed feeling.

Millwall, Preston etc. None of them are better than us.

Tonight's lack of squad depth shows. Subs looked completely lost and ineffective. Starting 11 was wrong.

Really good point about the niggles FellTop. There will be bumps and bangs in the squad that we have no idea about.

    cheers again RTB...

well, they had more of the ball than TM thought, he went for what he thought warnock would play and got it wrong, he mad a strong point of 'man to man' marking and keeping it tight at the back to run and counter...i honestly figured they had more of the ball than the 39% shown.

another game of not being able to pass/keep hold of the ball and being weak in the tackle, we really are struggling to have any real stand out players in games now and i feel that is part of the problem, really need lads to stand up and be counted and get the rest to follow him, i noticed (especially later in the game) amad trying but he was on his own, others made small efforts as well but needed a team effort.

that said, we have a very limited squad now and the lads are still doing a hell of a job and i still feel the majority of the fans are still fully behind them as well as being happy with the season we have had, promotion was never on the agenda and just being close to a play-off position considering all the injuries and the age of the squad is fantastic...and it might not be quite over yet.

my MotM is going to gelhardt, i think the lad has done well after basically being thrown in to lead the line, he does not shirk his job but few chances come his way, pleased he got himself a goal.
