What I couldn’t get about his yellow, was the fact that to everyone watching, it was blatant play acting by the Coventry player, yet he books a player for dissent, and not the player who cheated to cause the dissent!
Embarrassing from the referee. He should’ve received a lot more stick than he got. It was disgraceful
So who came out on top in that particular incident? Dissent is a stupid way to get a card, we should be cleverer than that. Having said that not sure I'd of kept my mouth shut either
Balls with it, let's try a new approach. Play two up front keeping Isidor in his most affective position, alongside Connolly with Rigg behind. Cirkin and Watson as wing backs, with three at the back for cover
I wonder what Roberts said. He was talking to the ref later on - as they were walking off at half time possibly - and trying to get an explanation on what he'd done wrong.
Another thing that came to mind again was that the Coventry player who took out Mundle, before Cirkin scored, didn't get booked. I thought he was clearly fouled to try to stop the break.
I was thinking along those lines. Mayenda and Wilson up top give us the option of 2 out balls if we go long, so we don't get hemmed in and it gives us a chance to hit them on the break and keeps more of their defenders occupied. In a 4-4-2, I might even be tempted to bring Alese in at LB to give us more height, with Ballard and Mepham in the middle and 09 on the right, then have Cirkin on the left of the 4 midfielders, with Ba on the right of Dan and Riggy. Ba, Rigg and Cirkin can all break out at pace. Having so many out at once means there has to be changes and RLB has got 2 weeks to work on implementing those changes, which is a blessing in disguise.
Quite right, we were amazed the referee didn't go back to him. And when you think about it, as far as Cirkin was concerned it was a clear goal scoring opportunity ... ... so should've been a red
Great point. There wasn’t a single camera which showed his reaction. The obvious cheating is something I detest in the game. This lad got a light touch to His head, ref stops the game!
He threw his arm up in a strop when the ref stopped the game. I’m guessing it was something along the lines of **** sake but even just throwing your arms at the refs decision is dissent
Seen far worse against us and in the PL this season! Kicking the ball away. Blocking the keeper. Swearing directly at ref and linesman. It’s one of those things if every ref does it the same, but it’s blatant that different refs have different “levels” for dissent. If the entire QPR team telling the ref to send someone off isn’t dissent, then what is?
Any news about our walking wounded from the weekend other than Browne having a broken leg which has gone very quiet, clubs had time to assess both him and Mundle by now.
We never actually got an announcement about pattos injury, so be surprised if we get one apart from RLB press conference
