RLB doesn’t fancy him? Then again, he doesn’t seem keen on using subs. Needs to stop shifting Isidor out wide to accommodate Connolly too. Poor.
Bringing on someone at 2-0 is still risky ... ... they make it 2-1 and it's a lion among the gazelles. I'd rather guarantee the three points than bring people on for fun.
The language thing does irritate me mind. If it was a one off fair enough but it’s been used so many times now. Rusyn, Bennette, Hemir, Aleksic. Rigg and Jobe were both 16 when they were chucked in, are you telling me Aleksic at 19 and a full international couldn’t do a job for half an hour even with limited English? Bennette and Aleksic are both full internationals at such a young age, Aleksic for a half decent Serbian team. I understand they’re long term signings but if they aren’t going to be used what’s the point in putting them in the squad? Loaning them straight back to their home nations while they learn the language seems a better idea. We need people who can change the game on the bench.
Not like players getting wrote off straight away eh Mundle got totally wrote off last season, this yr hes probably the 2nd best LM in the league so far
There could many reasons, for example RLB may just be using that as a convenient excuse to take pressure off the lad ... ... he seems to be getting him used to the first team, the stadium, etc, before he has to hit the pitch. I suppose it's just a case of trusting the club, to be doing what they believe is best, or not.
Unless it was explained to him at the time that he'll have a watching brief for the first few months whilst he settles in and learns the language...
Top of the league man ... but three draws and it's 'business as normal' for the pessimists ... ... oops, I meant realists RTG today ... "Regis has now joined the last 3 managers in shouting about the need for more depth. They all ended up falling out with the owners on the issue, how long until Regis does the same? I think the owners are unwilling to break their strict model, they are still penny-pinching and buying bairns who are clearly nowhere near ready for the first team. The two best players they signed in the last window are loans. The biggest fee was on an 18 year old who isn't even ready for cameos, but we still have him rotting on the bench rather than developing in the reserves. I think we have had such a bad injury record these last few seasons precisely because they are A. signing players with dubious injury records and B. because they are overplayed, again due to lack of quality subs. I am a glass half full person but I am also logical. I can't see how we remain in the automatics without 3-4 signings in January. We will see how serious these owners are then, will they invest to get us over the line like Ipswich did in January? I think the situation will only get worse with injuries piling up as the season goes on. Will they sell players if someone comes in with decent money? Will they reinvest even half that money back into the squad, because so far it looks like they haven't spent over half of the Clarke money."
Was speaking to someone in shiney row Sunday night saying “why don’t we do what Middlesbrough did and just keep scoring “ when pointed out that we are 7 points ahead of Middlesbrough at gut a “yeah well They won 5-1”. Pointless talking to them!!
